Doesn't make sense to me that Bioware wouldn't want to do this. I mean, the hope that the PT or IT are implemented into the game, is kinda the only thing keeping the ME franchise afloat for the dedicated fans. Unless they want to see one of the must immersive and emotional franchises of video game history fade into nothingness, and be forever forgotten, they should do whatever it takes to make sure one of the theories happens.
my theory is, that they ****** just that. burry mass effect and commander shepard under a big pile of weak enemies, choices who dont matter and a cruel ending.
after the last quarter of the 3rd game, you really want to forget the whole series. they realised how hard it is, to tie all the strings together in me3 - they had no chance, so they did their "best".
they will not do the same mistake again. sad but true.

If that's the truth, Bioware isn't thinking rationally at all. You don't give up on something just because it's hard, especially something that you're making a living off of. What they should do once ME3 is officially dead, is start a new franchise within the ME universe, featuring a new protagonist and a new squad. They could keep keep the essential ME game mechanics, but get a fresh start with a new plot line. I think this would make a lot of disappointed fans happy.Dr_Extrem wrote...

no .. fixing this game would make fans happy.
you cant start a new setting, if the old is a wreck. and if you do it, you build your new house on a weak foundation.
every new squadmember, every new "commander", every new pilot - they all will be measured by the old team - the new team can only loose.
mass effect should have ended with me3.

Eh, I don't know. I definitely think they should at least implement one of the theories into the ending of ME3. But, whether or not that happens, they should continue on with the universe. It would be kinda stupid to just completely kill it off. They spent all that time building up background information and lore, why just end it there?
and they killed it with the me3 ending ... and they should leave it dead before it starts to stink.
i can immagine the s**tstorm after one of the ending gets to be the official one.

Strangely, this really appeals to me. I've come to terms with the breath scene - kind of - but I'd seriously love a way to direct the red-hot hate-wave at the Reapers and only the Reapers. If I can kill them without killing the geth and EDI, I've got my ending.Jade8aby88 wrote...

I hope DLC will provide us with some ways to flip the switch on the crucible from Synthetics to Reapers.
This has been braught up many times before and I agreed with it then. But I don't now.
Shepard would still be left in the same half-assed breath scene and the Reapers would still be being killed by a deus ex.
Sad face, I disagree. For me it's the opposite. I want peace of mind for Shepard so bad! I'd give up fiighting for the rest

That would allow for a totally sick sequence involving the Reapers being blown to sh*t by the combined forces of the galaxy.TurianFrigate wrote...
Ok so what would the Crucible do then personally I think turning off all the Reapers kinetic barriers would be the best thing.
I approve.
But now we agree again

OR, with EA's tight deadlines.. Maybe they didn't have time to plot the flags and create the content. An ending dlc like this would be a great way for people to get interested in the game again during the 3rd or even 4th cycles after the game's release.

At this point, it's as if I'm at the bargaining stage of grief. If I only ask for a tiny bit from BioWare (wiping the genocide), instead of asking for the world (wiping the genocide, a reunion, and Liara kissy-kissy), they'll let me have it, right?Jade8aby88 wrote...

Leviathan modified the Catalyst sequence, though it was a pretty worthless change. Future DLC could also alter the game.Lord Aesir wrote...
While I consider this theory more likely that IT, what part of "We will not be releasing ending DLC" do people not understand?
There's what they say and then there's what they do.
But in truth, I'm not holding my breath.

I love Robot Chicken... Seth Green is fantastic!
The only thing we need to know is how feasible it is for them to drastically alter scenes in the ending... The whole mixing dlc with other dlc dealio...
