I know, but it has me excited for Mass Effect again.
I wasn't excited for Mass Effect yesterday, and by extension, Omega.
Now I'm excited. Now I want Omega.
Savvy?
Do not trust to hope. It has forsaken these lands.
Word. Thank you for setting me straight. I was in a mood earlier, I guess.

There appears to be no "times completed" notification under them like every single other challenge and challenge catergory. Considering this interesting tibit, it's possible that something may happen or will be announced three N7 challenges from now (I think it's been 6 since retaliation's release, don't flame me if I'm wrong).
If so, "Puzzle Theory" may be confirmed, and soon, for the multiplayer is almost caught up to the single player.

No, but it's there for every other challenge. It's not there for the "N7 Weekend challenges completed" catergory.
I'm saying that there may be something. And soon.

CONVENTIONAL VICTORY
This theory doesn't support conventional victory, that phrase gets thrown around far too much, and in it's proper context is impossible. That being said, this theory does support winning on our own terms, through unconventional means. After refusing the Catalyst.
These unconventional means will be attained through further dlc's. We have already received one piece in the Leviathans.
Don't know if this is already touched on here (and I do like this idea, for closure if nothing else)... but when I, at least, say "Conventional Victory" I mean "Anything that isn't handed to you on a silver platter by the leader of the enemy you've been fighting this entire time."
But that might be just me. Wish I hit this thread a little sooner. It's interesting. And as the Angry One noted, somewhat irritating that they'd string it out like this before giving us a proper ending.

Conventional Victory, by it's defintion is two opposing forces battling it out with no outside information, sources or reinforcements. It's the good old saying "going toe to toe" but on a larger scale. When Hackett said "there's no way we can beat them conventionally" in the beginning of ME3, he was right. They are simply not an enemy the galaxy can role over. But this doesn't mean that we can't find outside help to beat them... Leviathans.. Taking back Omega, finding deeper intel and insight into Cerberus' operations etc... To eventually be able to defeat the Reapers on our own terms.

Combining that with the info from Jos that it's 'all hands on deck' effort and all writers are working on it makes me thing they're gonna fanservice with the characters (esp ME2 ones)
but that would mean they would have to change every other character mordin would have to be changed, miranda's influence would have to be changed, etc.. i highly doubt any future dlc will involve squadmates cause they can die..

The dame was right. After all my years of investigating the crooked deals of this dirty city, I had fallen for a rookie mistake. I ought to have let Ginger handle the paperwork back at the office, but the kid deserved her day off after what happened to that fiance of hers. This one was squarely on me.
I was just telling myself to be more careful from now on and pay attention to details when something stirred in the greasy shadows of the alley and I felt something heavy descend on the back of my head like the final curtain after the fat lady had warbled her piece. As the darkness expanded to extinguish the guttering flame of my whiskey-fogged consciousness, the last thought awake was something about 'a sap'. Whether I was thinking of the object that collided with my skull or just myself, I could not tell.

Exactly, and in that context (and what the story has given us) I agree that a "conventional" victory isn't possible against the Reapers. However, considering the stuff taken from Cerberus (control frequencies for the Reaper minions), as well as EDI's development with Reaper Countermeasures (which do hack the Collectors pretty darn well) and the aforementioned Leviathans and the like... a Non-Catalyst victory seems quite possible.
EDIT: And if that IS correct... paying $25 for an ending that should have been in the freaking game in the first place? (Cost of Leviathan+Omega DLC, fyi)... that's absolutely ####ing ridiculous.

I hate to say it, but... this.
I'd gladly pay it if it gave me a triumphant ending like ME1 and like what was possible in ME2. It sucks, I shouldn't have to pay for a proper ending to ME3, but at the same time, it means maybe I could have Mass Effect back again.
The fact that Star Brat would still be involved in the endings sickens me, but I think I could learn to overlook it if only the endings felt more like Mass Effect.
