Wait, Jade, remember the Destroy+Control-no-Synthesis video I found? youtu.be/JrAlm-sn2So It actually does have Refuse option I think, look at the bottom of the screen at 11:20. The video is a bit cropped but I see the "I reject these choices!" option.

Yea I noticed that on another video that I found earlier.. This is one of the sections in the OP I'm going to further investigate and change if need be.

After finishing today the whole trilogy again I can speculate that most probably the whole mystical of the ending was to keep the interest high so the DLCs would come and explain what the hell just happened.

It is a puzzle kind but not what is described here (which is really interesting nevertheless).

I think the next dlc will try to explain either how the crucible works or either give new information on the catalyst/citadel/reapers which will add to what bioware tried to do with the endings the first place.

Or, add an ending option where you can destroy the Catalyst's AI core, which causes the reapers to either stop trying to destroy the fleet for a few minutes, giving them time to even the odds, or makes the reapers start just killing each other. It would be a kinda cool ending, in my opinion.
And, since I'm hungry, here's some food.

Never had that, what is it? Also, to make this ME related, I think that the reapers preferred type of food is organic goop.

Bolognaise are meatballs, usually eaten with Spaghetti. FYI.

Also @ Fedi.St. While I agree that the dlc's could be acting as a type of retro-active foreshadowing. No one wants an ending that hate foreshadowed, especially retroactively. That's why, even though you could be right about the next dlc foreshadowing the crucible or some such a bit more. Having it not to anything more would be a big turn off for people.

Attention:

I am going to update the OP fairly soon and reword some sections and add new sections [Retaliation DLC, Operation Alamo etc..] The problem is I haven't played Omega and don't intend to buy it until I know what the next dlc is and where BioWare are headed with ME3. I know Omega gives you resources in Eezo, and more mercenaries(?) too.

What I'm asking is, would someone who *has* played it and also supports the Puzzle Theory, like to write up this section for me? As it wouldn't be very credible for me to do it since I haven't played it.

Just bumping this in case anyone missed it on the bottom of the last page lol.

I have played through Omega twice now....but do not think I am the best person suited for the job of a write up as yet....Will offer if no one much better suited raises their hand, but consider me a last option please.

Jade? Your name changed?

Wasn't looking for it, but found a quote that supports refuse:

EDI: Shepard, do you believe your crew members should be allowed to disobey an order on moral grounds?

Shepard (Paragon): Absolutely. I have no use for team members who can't think for themselves.

Probably old news to you, but I thought I'd post it. :)

Thanks Doomsday! That means a lot! :)

Truth be told, I haven't been going through looking for little snippets like that because I just can't stomach where all roads lead. But that is a great little bit of info!

It seems EDI makes for very good insight when it comes to Refuse/Destroy :)

I don't mean to interrupt the flow of the thread, but is it just me, or does the forest from Shepard's dream look like a great map for multiplayer DLC. It's aboreal, open, and not claustrophobic.

Just something I've noticed.

It would make a good map, but only if they didn't slow-mo you. That would be fun. Maybe have a special weapon. The StarBrat launcher. It kills enemies with the infinite power of space magic. :wizard:

We were finally treated to the Leviathan of Dis which has been dangling since ME1. There is one other thing they haven't touched on yet...
...somewhere out there is a massive mass accelerator that carved a valley on the surface of Caliston (sp?). The writers seem to like tying up loose ends so, maybe there is still room for reveals that include ridiculously powerful weapons that kill reapers... Maybe.

Exactly! That Mass Accelerator round tore through a Reaper from how many million miles away?

why cant we just punch the starbrat and say "I`ve had enough of your disingenuous assertions" and then go kick some Reaper butt

So, that's how there is always a Kenny in the South Park episodes despite dying in every single one. There are just thousands of Kenny. Also, the mass accelerator would make sense, but it was also ridiculously powerful. I mean, it had to be thousands of times more powerful than the guns on our dreadnaughts  to do that to a reaper from so far away. So, it was probably like the size of like New York City or something ridiculous like that in order to be that powerful.

Glad to see this thread still going; just played through Leviathan for the first time a few days ago (I thought it was great for what it was btw) with PT in mind.

My wife and I are both working on another playthrough (mine after I wrap up my Liara romance in ME2) and I'll keep an eye out for more related snippets.

And the following is just me ranting on for a bit, pay no attention if you don't feel like it :P:

I have a hard time believing that the people who delivered so well on so many things we as fans asked for in ME3 (more RPG gameplay elements, same sex romance, etc.) that they would drop the ball so severely on the ending. They're not idiots... perhaps that is the thing keeping me from simply accepting the endings as they are...

I'm also not one to believe that the people at EA are some kind of evil overlords who want to stifle creativity. Even if all they care about is money, they aren't stupid either and anyone with any business experience knows how important recurring customers are... it all just boggles my mind.

I've got a weird feeling since the anniversary of the game's release is coming up and we're hearing all about this next DLC... I don't remember if it was mentioned in the OP but it just *feels* like they're planning something. Hard to explain... argh.

well trey and matt answered Kennys ability to never stay dead. He is the superhero Mysterion which sort of breaks lore considering Kenny oce staye dead for pretty much a whole season

on topic. the mass accelerator still has the potential but we will have to wait and see

btw i was replaying ME1 and right at the beginning the foreshadow the crucible when Anderson says that the beacon could have plans for a weapon of mass destruction

He says a WMD, not a WMSM(Weapon of Mass Space Magic) that is capable of raping the dna of everything in the galaxy. A WMD does not discriminate between organic and synthetic matter, it just blows stuff up. At least to me it is a massive uncontrolled release of energy. Like an actual nuke. The Crucible is less of a WMD and more of a contrived plot device that they made at the last minute because they didn't think a conventional victory would be enough like the original Deus Ex. Also, I don't hate Bioware, it's just that I'm so pissed off by the ending of ME3 that I get into an uncontrollable rage whenever I think about it. And, when I think of how the ME2 characters were treated, the rage I feel about the ending is like someone in a zen-like peace. WHY DO NONE OF THE ME2 ORIGINALS SHOW UP BUT WE GET DIANA ALLERS(I didn't have trouble with her until how I thought we could have had Zaeed in there instead of her at all.) AND JAMES VEGA!(I didn't have a problem with him, until I thought of how his resources could have been instead given to maybe some of the ME2 romances.)
So, in short, forget about the ME3 new characters, let's just have the ME2 characters back.

I feel you, and I'm picking up on those vibes, but a lot of those expectation-driven sensations were present around the EC, too.

i agree that the crucible is more of just a plot device they felt we needed to defeat the Reapers but what i meant was that that Anderson quote (no matter what a person defines as a WMD) could have been way overexaggerated by mac and casey as a way for them to make it seem like the crucible was not a retarded idea by preteding it was forshadowed

Yeah, but that would be even lamer than the 'artistic integrity' line. And, I don't think Bioware has fallen that far. At least, I'd like to think that.
