In my playthrough the geth are dead, so I'm constantly offended by anyone on my team ever playing as a geth. It ruins my immersion.
In my game the Quarians died, so does that mean they should be removed from my MP experience? Hell no.

If one wishes to maintain the incredibly realistic nature that the multiplayer has been thus far (like the above poster's thrilling tale of vorcha on Thessia), then why yes, they should be removed.Antagony wrote...

Realism in co-op multiplayer modes must always take precedence to fun.

Screw lore! The game is boring & repetitive as hell. They need to add whatever they can.
...I was going to say something along the lines of "And wreck the next installment? Sure why not?" until I remember another game was unlikely with the shoddy job they did on the story on this one.
...Still if they even want to make another game that's simply not another CoD clone with a Mass Effect skin then yeah. They need to restrain themselves from going for broke or they'll lose those of us they hooked with the story and all the little CoDfish will be disappointed when the next game ISN'T a CoD clone with a Mass Effect skin.
They want to remain competitive they need to find something the other games don't do. So far they've gotten a decent start. They need to keep what they've got instead of trying to do everything. That never turns out well.

Lore is a terrible reason to limit the fun potential in multiplayer.

I'm not. You can just leave a lobby with a geth. If they're removed, I can't join a lobby with one.Cthulhu42 wrote...

1) Earth's elite are defending Earth. These are the Alliance's baddest of the bad.
2) Platinum difficulty makes sense since no matter WHAT single player ending you pick, it is clear that the Illusive man was Indoctrinated and controlled by the Reapers. The Legion VI confirms that Reaper code was keeping the Geth running when you invade the Dreadnought. So the Geth were controlled by the Reapers as well. It is not a stretch. There's no holes to fill in. Platinum difficulty makes sense. And it makes sense in the context of how powerful these new classes appear to be. You could very well see them aligning to take over Earth, probably because the most powerful being in the Galaxy, Sheppard, is from Earth, and there's all sorts of other back stories tied to genetic human variation compared to Asari or Quarian or Turian.
3) If they decide to add a Prothean, that is completely fine. Javik is essentially a moron. He could not disclose technology for us nor could he explain pretty much anything. The existence of other Protheans (since it was a Galactic Empire) could easily be explained and I personally think they should be added. Domination (one of my favorite powers) needs put into this game and their biotic leanings lends towards that.

You don't want Platinum? Then don't play it, simple.

Really? When the hell was I expected to know Quantum Physics, Advanced Computer Sciences, Dark Matter Theory, and other scientific hoopla that required me to attend collage for +8 years in order to be a grunt?
Javik explained he was a soldier and not a scientist or philospher. His outlook was that of a jaded Commissioned Officer. That was the extent of his personality and knowledge. If we had gotten some kind of optomistic scientist then he likely would have turned out much differently but wouldn't have been a squadmate.

That's far too difficult for me to do; much as it is for the OP to just not play Platinum.Mahrac wrote...

It would be better if you would just take your optional lore-breaking element out of the otherwise perfectly rational and consistent multiplayer.

But if you remove this 'lore-breaking' element you break my lore. So if you want to keep yours, leave the lobby. Just like the OP will simply never play Platinum.Cthulhu42 wrote...

Your argument is invalid.
This. All 3 factions are, in fact, Reapers. Argument invalid.
