Reapers on Gold is a tough row to hoe. I just had 4 games that washed out before finishing the 6th wave. Can anyone offer some advice? I certainly tried not to do anything stupid.

Try to stick with the team.

Try to find a match on a bigger, more open map like Condor, Ghost, Giant, or Hydra so you can run out of the firezones. Adrenaline module III helps a lot with that.

You will most likely have to use all your equipment, -your missiles especially- in the later waves (above 6) so try to consume your equipment, and use them ONLY if really necessary.

What character and weapon are you using BTW?

I did a Human Soldier with max adrenaline rush and a Krogan Vanguard setup for weapon damage.  I had maxed out equpment.  I used a Krysae on the Krogan as I have bunches of sniper rifle buffs but no Assault Rifles.

Can't believe you just recommended a novice play Reapers/Gold/Condor.   In my experience, there is no map that leads to wipes half as frequently against any opponent on gold as Condor.  Reactor is a breeze by comparison.  Ghost, Giant, and Hydra are all solid recommendations though.  Just avoid Condor like the ****ing plague.

I don't recommend anyone play Condor ever, it's just brutal regardless of any other factors. There's no usable cover (no matter where you take cover, no matter how many enemies it's protecting you from, it's still leaving your ass hanging out for dozens more), the spawns are nuts, no way to control distance to engage targets... it's a nightmare. You'd have better luck with Jade, which has better engage distance control, but is otherwise still a nightmare.

If you want to be able to pull off an extraction, regardless of what classes the squad is playing, what difficulty, etc. your best bet is Giant. Despite that one hack location it has that's godawful, it's otherwise very doable.

Just got a 3/4 extraction on Condor on my first game :D The victory was especially nice considering that in round 1 myself playing a QMI and a Krogaurd teammate both got glitched so that we couldn't pick up ammo from the boxes. Luckily I could still pick up grenades so I could spam those, but the poor Krogaurd only had his headbut and charge :(

Second try. Jade. Phoenix adept (me), Kroguard, Justicar, female Quarian Infiltrator.

Full Extraction.

Awwww, yeah.

Now, to tackle all those reaper/bronze speedruns for the shared goal. I'm gonna extract so much.

Agreed with the others, if you haven't played a lot of reepers/gold, Glacier but you have to stick as a pack, it's not optional, it's so fast paced one person running off save the four location obtective and it's over....just finished two like that but it's clockwork as a team, Dagger is also really good as you can snipe and use biotics with ease, lots of ammo boxes at the hack locations, my opinion or observation on what has worked well is a Phoenix Adept and an AJ, bubble spec'd for damage, the other two is whatever the players have as a power house......the more Adept's the easier this goes, biotics whipe reepers

I bet a lot of people are going to enjoy the Banshee magnet hands of love this weekend. :P

(Pretty much the main threat the Reapers possess.)

I think you might need a more "mobile" character if you want to go with the sniper.
If I were you, I'd use my (well, your) Valiant V / Widow X on a Salarian Infiltrator, maybe with a Predator/Phalanx as a backup if you need it. Adrenaline Module helps with mobility. If enemies get close, just run away to a safer spot and start picking them off. Use damage protection specced Energy Drain to get your shields back up.

Spec your tactical cloak for duration instead of damage bonus. This way you can also help your team with healing them, hacking objectives, etc.

Advice for hack circles: You or one of your teammates should try and lure some enemies away from the hack zone. I did it with my batarian soldier in wave 6 on FB Ghost, at the landing zone hack, and we got it relatively easily. When Ravagers turn away from the hack zone, it's a relief for the others.

This actually makes me wonder. Are any of the devs gonna be playing Planetside 2 when it comes out?

Thanks for the help my group was able to make a FULL extraction but I had a lot of help from a friend and the other teammates.
