I got lucky and ended up playing with some fellow BSN guys and girls - no full gold extractions but we all made it to extraction in one game or another (I think!) - Alot of fun and they were cool to chat with too.
Holy ****, Reaper gold PUGs are a nightmare...

I made it fine with two randoms and a BSN member. The randoms used a kroguard and asari adept, and they played fine. I ran my justicar and the BSN guy ran the human sentinel. My advice is, use warp ammo and play on Firebase Ghost or Giant
That's what I save my warp rounds IV for. I'm probably gonna play FB Ghost because at least on that map I can get two grenades per ammo box.

No issue on ps3 because we don't have a slash screen so most bronze and silver causal players don't even know about a weekend event

Had time for a few quick games before I have to head out, first two were brutal (true to my word I won't leave lobbies this weekend no matter how bad it looks) and I wasn't able to solo the final few waves. Third wasn't bad at all, had another good player with me so we were able to do the heavy lifting and got the extract.
I always pug gold and I've never seen it quite this bad, could be a long weekend for more than a few players looking to get the comm pack.

Silver player here, and extracted fine on gold reaper first attempt - only my second gold match ever, and my first this week. It's not as hard as I thought it would be, thank goodness.

since the event started, I did 2 reaper pugs. Both extracted, but one lasted fourty freaking four minutes, because some genius was too cheap to use a missle on remaining 2 banshees (he was the last man standing on wave 8) and run around shooting them with Indra instead. The other one lasted 34 minutes, and contained an Asari Vanguard who didn't charge once, but stasised all the Banshees and Ravagers.

Played 3 gold reaper PUGs so far (me being one of the silverites, well primarily). First, extraction without a hitch; second game, a bit laggy, i think i got warp to hit my target about on every second try, wipe on round 10 after completing objective, i got caressed by mrs. Magnet Claws (given the lag i wasn't really shocked); third game, even more lag, warp seemed to affect target only on every third try or less - host quit at wave 5 or so after falling on every wave and i ended up being disconnected from EA.
Playing with Asari Adept whose warps and throws will not connect with the targets was quite frustrating.

Did it with the first Gold PUG on Ghost. Had to use up all my missiles to ensure extraction, including three missiles on just one cap objective which kept being overrun and one missile in the last 8 seconds to clear the LZ of 3 brutes. Seems like I was the only one using missiles.
Edit: second PUG with 3 N7 100ish randoms. Did not expect to make it to extraction but since the other 3 were using equipment (which shows commitment), I geared up with all level III equipment. The game went surprisingly well, even better than my first game when 2 other players were N7 1000 ish. Everyone played as a team and worked together to take down the pesky banshees. First 10 waves went quickly and then host DC with less than 1 minute left on wave 11. Fortunately, the other 3 of us restarted wave 11. I ended up sole survivor but we made the squad goal. Feel a little sorry for the host who DC, though. This goes to show that it is sometimes difficult to judge a team based on N7 levels.

I've actually had some great luck with PUGs so far, but hit me up on PC (Origin ID QuintusFlavius) anytime this weekend - I'll be around.

I did 2 randoms this morning. 1 failed early...2 squad members were doing their own thing and dying every 30 seconds. FBWG
The second match I got lucky enough to have folks who all stuck together and everything went smoothly. That one was on Reactor.

Had a few games earlier, I think wave 6 was the best we managed. I was really annoyed for having to blow all missiles, medi-gel and survival packs because I wanted to save credits for the DLC too.

So far the pugs on xbox have been a bit rough. Both Times we got full extractions but each one took almost 40 minutes and I had scores around 140000+. If I am scoring that much that is never a good sign lol

i played a test yesterday and freakin thing grabbed me as last one as i was running away. thought i'd jump down from ladder and she followed right behind me.
My fault, shoulda dodged. If u run, she can grab, she gets the same grab animation we get, just like if u try to Heavy Melee a baddy and it gets caught in ur animation, same happens with her, shes the only one tho

I finally got it finished with publics. Of course the game that reached extraction was the one that I got thrown into during wave 2 with no equipment. All three objectives were uploads and I used all my medigels, missiles and ops packs but we finished it with three survivors.

Ran two with no real problems. First game on Reactor w/ a competent GI Krysaer finished in 24 minutes with some change. Second game on Condor w/ half decent team. I watched them burn through most if not all of their equipment and almost wipe after I got sync killed early in the ninth wave, but otherwise par for the course. I honestly don't recall the time as I was irritated by how many missed Banshee Warps I ate because one of them couldn't stop dodging into/near me.
If there's one thing randoms need to be taught it's when to and when not to revive others and maintain enough confidence to solo a wave when necessary. Either way I'll be running these for most of the day. I can't take farming any longer and I've only got another 1.5 million to go before I reach my 3 million mark. Very tempted to just switch to Silver and play for fun once I've reached another 500,000.

Once Operation Broadside went live, it took me an HOUR to find a decent PUG room that didn't already have 3 sub-100 N7's in it. I just wanted to extract and be done with it.... then I'd go back and help others.
Full Reaper Gold extraction in first game on Dagger. Next 4 games, all dead before wave 7. Reaper Gold PUG's are brutal.

My first Reaper Gold match today was a success. I seemed to get normal gold players, by the looks of things. Full extraction, only needed to use one medigel.
My second match I decided to novaguard and accidently charged a Banshee instead of the Brute near her and got sync killed on wave 5. That left the rest of the team to work the round by themselves and since half of the team was refusing to medigel themselves when they died each round, the last fellow just gave up.
I'll never understand people who don't use missles, medigels, or other consumables. When I see people let themselves die and leaving someone to solo a round because they refuse to medigel, it's generally not a sign of a good teammate.
