6 random PUGs
1 dead on wave 9 - Firebase Dagger
1 Lone survivor (me) - Ghost
1 (nobody in circle but 2 people still on their feet) - Hydra
2 Full extractions - Giant
1 Partial extraction - Giant.
No game took longer than 25 minutes either....Best gold runs I've had in a long while...
Dagger and Giant are your best bets and make sure everybody has warp ammo....

Are you sure it was the N7 rating in itself?DarthShadow13 wrote...
I hate that people kick others because they have a low N7 rating...how stupid is that.
Did you have a gun with a high rank (towards X) or if not, was the gun you used very powerful and fit the character class?
Were you at a level close to level 20?
Did you equip something in your gear slot?
Did you use high consumables?
Personally, I'm not really skilled enough to carry people, so someone with horrible guns (compared to their character class), or just generally bad guns will get a vote-kick from me if he does not use consumable equipment or even remember to equip gear.
I could not care less what the N7 rating is, but if someone is using horrible weapons, gear and consumables on a class that is either not suitable for gold or makes no sense (sniper rifle + shotgun on an adept, for instance), I don't want to bring them. I don't mind carry people that can somewhat pull their weight, but when people do not want to make an effort even with poor quality gear, then I will not bother.
I do realize that some people do not have the gear required to do gold, but quite frankly, that is not exactly our problem. It is unfortunate that you will not be able to play gold, but that is not something you can blame on others. 4 person squads means all 4 must contribute. :/
It is not that hard to get credits to get PSPs anyway. Buy veteran packs until you get the Salarian Engineer, level Engineers to 20, spec for Energy Drain and Decoy, then snore your way through FBW/G/G until you're rich enough to get good gear to regularily do Gold.

Final thoughts: Gold is ok. I like silver more because you can actually fight the bosses. The final waves of a lot of gold matches is basically herding cats... and then shooting them with missiles.

I got partial extraction on, what 2 other group? And a few failures at waves 9-10 because of the damn Shees. It seems like the grab range is even larger than before; I got grabbed a good 5-6 meters way once, my character glided for like 2 seconds. I absolutely hate when it happens.

tl;dr - thanks to the people on here who've posted tips about gold. I was pretty bad (3rd) but we made it and now I think I'm ready to tackle silver.

2nd match; White. My QMI, Turian Soldier or Sentinel, couple of humans I can't remember. Wave 6, PS3 lockup. Doesn't count.
3rd match; White, Human female adapt, Ex-cerberus Adept, Gethgineer, my QMI. Stuck together in the console room, mostly. All extracted. Success.

You seem more than ready, and you have a few good set-ups for certain classes and builds, and a solid foundation for most things you want to do.Mazohyst wrote...
Had great luck with my first PUG. I've only ever played gold for Operations - usually I stick with Bronze - so I equipped everything and used my DA for max biotic explosions. We all died a few times, and I was having some lag which made reviving occasionally difficult, but we had a Cerberus Adept and a human Sentinel, so we got into a good exploding rhythm. I saved my missiles until the extraction wave (should have used one or two sooner, but hey, we survived) and used 3 right at the end. Full extraction!

You even have a set-up to regularily farm FBW/G/G with ease if you are more interested in credits (but with more monotone gameplay).

It had to be, i know how to play the game. I use the right gear with the right class and i have a lvl 20 in every class. The minute i get in i get kicked because my N7 is 106.
I got kicked last night in sliver because of my N7 and when i searched for a new game it put me with the people that kicked me and i came in 2nd and the 3rd and 4th place people were 30k below my score.

Became slightly dizzy from 'deliberately,' (ha) drawing Banshees in circles through two Justicar Bubbles whilst the rest spammed reave. Second with the AA, spammed Pull until everything was dead. Even double-tapped. Just in case.
Propose a new feature, to punish eejits who enter Gold with neither rockets/ med-gels nor the sense to use them when necessary: Nyan-Banshee, played every thirty seconds when they log on for thirty minutes. Chucked in the towel with a team who refused to Self-revive or revive others- on wave three :S
For other Silver-to-Gold Adepts... Please, figure out who the better adept is and assist them. Biotic Explosions, cascading through groups of Huggy Banshees is a beautiful sight
Back to my Silver pit, Geth Engineer some Bronzers to extraction...
Helliontheory on Origin for any Silver folks over the next day or two, (N.Ireland, Uk, Europe times etc.)

In that case, it is sad to hear. I mean, I have played with tons of low N7 people with good set ups who either had gear beyond what their rating would imply, or used consumables to make up for their bad weapons/low levels. There are so many great players out there that just stops promoting, and carry a low rating.DarthShadow13 wrote...

I guess some people do not bother to check the actual stats of the player when they click the basic profile to find the vote-kick button. :/

Surprisingly he was never sync killed, but after a while the rest of the team pretty much silently decided not to revive him unless he was near us.

i know some are good and all but some...dear god they suck, i mean really REALLY suck, and halfd the time people are not even aware theres an operation even (no splash screen) which made operation savage for me a living HELL, i gave up and soloed a bronze game to get the commendation pack on that one
and i gave up for today ran 5 games all of which failed and i had to carry the team to either wave 7-10
its strange because when i die, the ENTIRE team breaks apart and fall like crap...makes me thing im the only one doing anythign and they're just leeching
The commendation pack requires a gold extraction, bronze won't do anything to get that.
"Operation BROADSIDE puts our reinforcements to work by coordinating large-scale attacks against the Reapers on multiple fronts. The objectives vary from planet to planet and theater to theater, but the common goal is to develop a sustainable fighting method with a minimal loss of life.
Squad Goal: Extract at least one squad member against Reapers on Gold difficulty
Allied Goal: Extract 400,000 squads against Reapers on ANY difficultySpecial Circumstance: None
Squad Goal Success: All squad members awarded a Commendation Pack
Allied Goal Success: All players awarded a Victory Pack. Medi-gel cap increases from 5 units to 6. "
I guess you still helped by reducing the number of squad extracts by 1 for the Allied Goal.
i was talking about operation savage...not about this operation
here's what i said

Haha!
Finaly got my PUG extraction (partial, me and a quarian male that leech, batarian got banshee fingered and the other batarian was outside the circle) went and bought a PSP with my winnings and got grenade IV along with warp ammo IV, who thought it would be a good idea to have consumables take up a gold slot? Such a terrible idea, iv had two specter packs be totally comprised of consumables which is a infuriating waste of creds.<_<
