I'm not sure if such a list has already been posted in another thread, but I can't seem to find one. Yes I realize the project section has a list of mods, however here we can list -recommended- mods, particularly for different uses.

I am especially interested in mods that enhance performance by removing certain spell effects or other similar tweaks.

UPDATE: I'll also be favoring linking to the official Bioware Social Network project for mods I pick up from other users. I have nothing against Dragon Age Nexus and other mod sites, however I do like the interface of Bioware's site best of all that I've seen.

I'll start out with my list:

Pineappletree's Vibrant Colors
Helm Removal
Character Respecialization
Personal Annoyance Remover
Circles Be Gone
Pellegrins Rebalance Mod
Advanced Tactics
Camp Storage Chest
The Winter Forge
Interesting Boss Drops
White Teeth

I'm looking forward to hearing about what other people are using.

UPDATE: Here's my list of mods I'm looking forward to adding to my collection when they're completed.
Blood of the Bond
General Beatrix*
Lady of the Forest/Witherfang
Baldur's Gate

*Yes I realize this character breaks the fourth wall, and I apologize if that offends you. This is just one project I think would add a really neat looking character that is not as popular as some of the other Final Fantasy characters. I do not do this often.

Regards,
Jack

Thanks Sexytime, I definitely got Pellegrins now thanks to you. Also looking into your mod, looks very interesting.

Recommended mod lists tend to be fairly subjective, but here are some that I've tried that might have some broad appeal:

DAModder v2.1.2 - Worth getting this to install your mods. Better than Bioware's installer.

Advanced Tactics v2.4 - Opens up a lot more options in the tactics panel. Includes a lot of conditions Bioware should have included themselves.
Better Dual-Wield v1.04
Camp storage chest - Something that should have been included in the vanilla game.
Companion Dialogue Tweaks v0.90d - Still a work in progress, but worth a look.
Dragon Age Beguiler v003 - Multi-mod installer. Lots of stuff.
Dragon Age Mutator v013 - Ditto the above.
Interesting Boss Drops v1
Larger Conversation Text v0.1 - An absolute necessity when playing at higher resolutions.
The Winter Forge v0.3.2b - Crazily detailed crafting mod. Still trying to wrap my head around it. Worth a look if you were underwhelmed by the vanilla arms and armour.
White Teeth v1.1

Thanks DarthParametric. Great suggestions, I'm definitely adding Winter Forge, White Teeth, Advanced Tactics and Interesting Boss Drops. I'll also be taking a look at Beguiler and Mutator.

I was reluctant to get some of these without playing through the vanilla game once, but now that I have I definitely think they should add a lot of fun to the campaign.

Love to see more suggestions! I'm interested in seeing some more texture mods and any mods that help increase performance, particularly at the end where the darkspawn AI was having problems working with all the entities my comp was processing.

I'll be compiling the list of mods I use as this thread progresses and posting information about which ones have incompatibility issues.

Regards,
Jack

Well I played with both Pellegrin's mod and the Dragon Age Mutator, I was worried they might have some overlap or incompatibility, but they didn't and it was fine. I am definitely in love with Advanced Tactics. I worried that having a mod which gave me a gazillion tactics slots would take away some of the challenge of the game but, though organizing tactics -is- much easier, I find it also removed much of the annoyance of having party members with stupid AI.

I'm updating the original post with info on mods that I'm looking forward to adding to my collection once it is complete. Feel free to post your own favorite unfinished mods as well.

This ia a wonderfully helpful post/thread for those of us that are comp impaired...looking for the smashable chests mod (to eliminate the need for lockpicker in party)
