Spoiler Snip

I find it funny people refused to believe she was in this, and the predictability of the story. It's straight out of the comics. They didn't use Bane in the books, but the concept was visited so many times, that it was to be expected. Hell it's essentially the framework to the game Batman: Dark Tomorrow.

Same on that in both reguards.

Pretty much, minus this time, who can say.

Hmm...well apperantly prices here are 5-7 bucks. So not too bad. still can't get up with anyone minus a recording for whats showing so ehh. Honestly minus the dollar theater (ironically it charges 3 bucks) where I seen quarantine years ago. The last film I've seen in theater was Star Wars Episode 2. If its playing still I'ld like to see Avengers.

Ah well least I have PPV or movie channles to watch.

*Spoilers Ahead*

This movie made me feel emotions that I haven't felt in a long time at a movie theater. The scene with Bane beating and then breaking Batman was too much for some people. Everyone was quiet and you could just feel the audience on the verge of wanting to close their eyes. There were several scenes like that for me that really brought out the emotions. Like when Alfred admitted what he had done with Rachael's letter. I was all teary eye during that scene. And the way they included Robin was excelent. I could tell eho he would become pretty early on, but it wasn't forced at all so I was still a bit surprised at the end. And Anne Hathaway as Catroman was awesome. Can't say anymore good about this movie. Loved it.

One gripe I had though. A scene I was hoping would be more touching was when Bruce Wane snuck into Gordon's hospital room. It happened a bit quickly and didn't really have any build up, so it wasn't as powerful as I think it could have been. But then the scene when Bruce escapes the pit prison was so intense. The monks chanting, the fear not only in him, but in the audience as well, it was too much! But I was soupposed to be talking about a gripe. Guess I can't stay mad at this amazing movie for long. XD

Speaking of Bane, did he snap batmans back, then kill several other Batmen, till bruce had to build a like exosuit, and then killed Bane?

I mean I doubt it, just what happend in the comics, sure thats been retconned.

For those who have seen it:

what did you all think of Bane's voice? When I first heard it, I was caught off-guard, since it was nothing like what I expected him to sound like. For the first half of the movie, I kept flip-flopping on whether or not Nolan made a (minor) mistake there.

Bear: I'm not going to post the answer to that here, but if you really want to know I'll PM you.

Bane's voice was great. It was definitely a bit strange, but it certainly didn't make him any less of a badass.

Whoever did the audio editing for this movie should be fired. Betwwen the abuse of Zimmerman's score, and Bale and Hardy having a rasp-off, it was difficult to make out some dialogue.

Not sure I can agree with that. English isn't my native language and I often have trouble making out the lyrics in songs (not because I don't understand them, but it's just harder to understand the language when it is not spoken clearly I guess), but I understood everything perfectly here.

Well, English is my mother tongue and there were more than a few spots where I had to perk up my ears to try and make sense of what they were saying to each other.

At first I thought Bane's voice was strange. But I got used to it fairly quickly. I didn't miss any of his lines due to incomprehension.

Fair enough. I guess it could be clearer. I just think Bane's weird voice fits his character and his appearance with the bizarre mask very well.

It was interesting. His voice shows there is more depth to his personality then just being a badass. He is intelligent and even sensitive but still corrupt and violent. Christopher and Tom Hardy both know that making stark characters that are completely evil or completely good is ineffective. Instead of being a "badass" with a badass look and voice. He has a voice more suitable for an old priest or religious speaker- it's soft and age-wise sounding. It makes a lot of sense when you get his backstory at the end of the story that he has this type of speak.

The voice fit fine, it's the way the editors mixed the score with the dialogue. It overpowered the actors in some spots.

Yeah you may have a point there. Not that it really bothered me much, but it was a bit extreme sometimes.

To me, a problem in many Nolan films is the way the soundtrack is handled. It's built up so much in some areas but for no real reason. It wasn't as bad here, but in some of his other movies (I'm looking at you Batman Begins) it was really noticable.

I guess what caught me off-guard most about his voice was that the lines I was exposed to in the trailers ("When Gotham is ashes, you have my permission to die" and "I'm Gotham's Reckoning") both gave me the impression it was deeper than it was. But eventually, I managed to adjust as well. Especially by the scene in the football stadium, I was just so overwhelmed by the badassery that I still managed to love Bane as a villain (though nothing will top the Joker).

By the way Kathleen, the first thirty seconds of your review just about captures my exact reaction to the film. By the time the credits started rolling, everyone was on such a high from the experience that words alone couldn't do it justice.

i thought his voice was fine but there are some parts where it can be a tad bit hard to understand

I have deep sympathy for the people killed. But i'm also angered by this. A dozen or so people in America get killed but nobody gives to ''''' about the dozens of people the Americans are murdering in the middle east daily its disgusting. No offence to any Americans i blame your military and government not you.

Going back to the film. I enjoyed Batman Begins. I enjoyed Batman The Dark Knight. Is Batman The Dark Knight Rises any good?

Well given your history here I bet you'd enjoy this one too.

I thought it was great in any case. There was some debate as to whether The Dark Knight was best, but who cares. It's awesome, go see it.

I'm looking forward to it then.

I don't think it will be as good. Remember the rule of threequels (not an absolute rule).

The rule of 3. The second film/game outperformed the first film/game. But the third didn't get the critical appraisal of the other two. Not all of these are unsuccessful.

X Men 3 (I hear it's the weakest)
Blade 3
Superman 3 (then Superman 4 Quest for Peace)
Batman Forever (then Batman and Robin followed)
Star Trek Search for Spock (good film but not as good as Wraith of Kahn)
Godfather 3
Psycho 3
Jaws 3
Haloween 3
Saw 3
Rambo 3

There are a few exceptions of really successful threequels
Check out this link http://screenrant.co...-mikee-64755/2/

Lord of The Rings

Starwars Return of the Jedi

The Good Bad and The Ugly is apparantly the very best film in it's trilogy. It was so successful that A Fist Full of Dollars and A Few Dollars are completly forgotten. That is how badly eclipsed they were.

On the whole, I'm not expecting the Dark Knight Rises to be the best. But I expect it to be good.
