Cain was phenomenal as Alfred as usual. Bale was just as good as Bruce. Getting his pride hurt by Bane like he did in the comics and then fighting back and being indignant while doing so. When he got thrown up the city hall steps and regained his balance his body language just screamed "BRING IT B*TCH!"
Talia was an outstanding twist, I Thought Nolan was going to say Ra's was the father Bane had that got thrown in prison and "died" so he had to serve his father's sentence and of course Ra's was revived in a lazarus pit and continued to lead the demon but Talia being at Bruces side the entire time, and making love to him as well, was right on her character since she is always attracted to Bruce/Batman.
I'm definitely going to see it several more times.

Wow. This isn't an open ending like Inception. This isn't some new IT or something. It was real.Mr.House wrote...

I'm actually glad they didn't decide to just do the same as Marvel and thus spit out a bunch of sequels, tie-ins, and what have you. Glad that Nolan ended his version of the Batman mytho with a blast. I never suspected the Lazarus Pit to be in the movie, since I always knew that Nolan's interpretation of the Batman, would always focus on a more realistic viewpoint. I'm glad he mimicked the scene where Bane breaks the Batman's back. Hathaway was great as Selina, she even had that seductive going on which reminded me a bit of Grey Delisle as Catwoman in Arkham. Her and Hardy stole the show, while Bale is great as Bruce Wayne as alwats. He still has that gruff Batman voice, which sounded good in Begins, but sort of became all weird in the Dark Knight and this movie.ADLegend21 wrote...
The ebst Batman movie to date. Only way it could have been better is if it had a tie in to Man of steel to signal the start of a the Justice Leage movie series. Even without it though it was classic batman, he makes the ultimate sacrafice and comes out unscathed after finally trusting people for the first time since his parents death.

The twist at the end was so well thought out. Well done Jonathan and Christopher. I definitely did not that coming. Best movie of the year so far for me.

It was clear the moment Fox was told the autopilot had been fixed half a year before.

- The whole film felt like an ending to me. From the first to last scene, it felt like a film's worth of final act. I had a similar feeling with ME3.
- It relates to the first part a lot more strongly than the second.
- All the continuity shout-outs from prior films really reminded me of what the game did throughout. 'Hey, remember when you got these injuries?' 'Hey, remember me? I'm the villain from the first film.'. Lots of what you could call 'General Oraka' moments.
Might just be that I finished them both fairly recently, but i just found the whole way they did the final act feel quite similar, more so than most trilogies I've seen.
EDIT: Bane sounded like Patrick Stewart doing and impression of Sean Connery, though.

- Catwoman really served no purpose and the supposed romance between her and batman was virtually non-existent making the ending feel weird.
- The 'breaking Batman's back' scene was pretty underwhelming and the aftermath of it lacked the weight that it should. Plus there's the whole he manages to make it from what looked like the Middle-East all the way to Gotham - when no-one else could even get in Gotham!
- Bane and the busty chick's (can't remember her name) motivations seemed to make little sense (or at least weren't explicitly clear) and a lot of their actions seemed to serve no actual purpose in regards to whatever they were actually trying to achieve.
- And finally Bane's death was really, really anti-climatic.

Ha! Busty chick. The first time she took her coat off I thought she was smuggling water melon's, those things were ridiculous in silhouette form.
*Spoilers from here onwards*
I think from the back breaking part onwards it was pushing plausibility to it's limits but never went too far for me. The middle east to Gotham journey in what was it? 11 days with no clothes or money? That was a tad ridiculous but he is Batman.
I think the bike thing fired more than two rockets when Catwoman was on it.
The cops charging down the street towards Bane's crew, one group has automatic weapons and are spread out, the other has nightsticks and is packed into a narrow corridor. Why the hell were both groups charging each other? The one's with assault rifles should really have held their ground and shot down the charging Gotham cops. Where did the cops guns even go to? They seemed to have none at all.
That seems a bizarre treatment for a broken back.
It may just be because I just woke up but I can't even remember Bane's death. I remember when it happened but not the details of it.
Some things that distracted me for a moment with plausibility questions but never actually broke anything for me. They mostly happened quickly too so maybe I'm mistaken on some of them.

*spoilers inbound of course*
For example, the Bruce Wayne/Batman/Catwoman/Selina Kyle romance subplot. The movie juggled their romance and Bruce's romance with Miranda Tate/Talia Al Ghul. That juggling left stuff to be desired from all of them.
*spoilers end here*
Muffins.

In the books, Selina plays with him at her leisure. When she wants him she has him, and when she doesn't she pushes him away. Batman pines for her more than she does, and she's not interested in Bruce in the slightest. It's the mask or nothing for her. Thalia on the other hand is infatuated with him because her father views him so strongly as the only person with the potential to be his equal. Her "love" for him has an almost religious attachment to it, considering who her father is.
You have obviously never read the comics, Selina is interested in Bruce, If you read the The New 52 series (which are currently the main universe ones) you can see them flirt alot. It just takes a lot longer since she doesn't know that he is Batman.

I'm not keeping with the new continuity, but from the 1980's to pre-52, Selina wants Batman and doesn't care for Bruce's personal life. She also plays with him a great deal throughout the years. This is why Batman has let her get away with crimes, or escape police capture while in the middle of grabbing someone else. 52 is nothing but rewriting stories much like Ultimate marvel does. So that's not what I'm talking about, I'm talking about the 30 years before that.

At least for several years before the reboot Selina knew Batman was Bruce Wayne and cared for him. What you say it´s more Black Cat´s freakout when Spiderman revealed himself as Peter Parker.
About the movie, it feels weird for a movie that long but I felt another 20 minutes or so expanding Selina and Bruce (both individually and together) would have helped. While Bruce finally finding peace of mind was more or less well developed, I never got the idea he´d like feign his death in order to quit. I also didn´t like Talia as a full fledged villain, but I guess that battle was lost years ago. Pity, I really loved her in B:TAS, and the resolution in Beyond was really tragic. On the plus side, no chance for Damien in Nolan continuity.

If you read both, it's a lot like this. Felicia and Mary Jane play to Peter the same way Selina and Vicki Vale play to Bruce. Both Felcia and Selina were depicted as women, who for different reasons wanted to explore more adventerous sides of their lives. That's where they both have the attachment to their adopted identities. Where Vicki and MJ love the Bruce and Peter, but find their other identities to be a great source of strain for their relationships. It's often a big reason for either woman to leave their partner.
Even Selina's fantasies about being with Bruce exist only with the mask on. (from Nightwing #52)

I'm not disputing that she's aware of who he is.She knows. However, she fell in love with Batman because he's a mirror of the life that she chose. Bruce's persona (the one he presents to the world at large. The facade that's held up in order to keep Batman a secret) is what she loathes. Felicia is the same way with Peter, but because Peter is "pathetic" by her estimation. While Spider-Man, much like Batman embodies the amazing qualities that both woman applied to themselves.
