E: 02:06:01 - Failed to submit lightmap layout [test127]
E: 02:06:01 - Job submission process failed with a return code of '1'.
I: 02:06:01 - Lightmapper script failed. See errlog.txt for details.
I: 02:06:01 - Could not get a GFF reader object. Make sure Engine.dll is registered.
I: 02:06:01 - Detected 2 cores. Use "--cpus=X" option to change setting.
I: 02:06:01 - Running lightmapper script.
I: 02:06:01 - EclipseRay v1.2
W: 02:06:00 - No lightmap atlas found. Falling back to display legacy lightmaps in editor.

This is what I get when trying to render lightmaps on a very simple level that I have created. I've read probably every thread and tutorial about rendering lightmaps, I've installed the proper ActivePython version and I the problem remains the same.

So... I've registered Engine.dll in Windows Safe Mode and thought that would do the trick. Unfortunately now when I try to render lightmaps all I get is:

I: 02:06:01 - EclipseRay v1.2

W: 02:06:00 - No lightmap atlas found. Falling back to display legacy lightmaps in editor.

And that's it. eclipseRay.exe is working, but aparently cannot finish what it is doing. I can terminate the process in windows task manager though, and the toolset seems to be working fine apart from that. Help, anyone?

From what I understand, don't worry about the no lightmap atlas found and that it takes a LONG time to make a light map.

Yeah, but in my case it just never ends. I gave it 15 minutes, then an hour and nothing. It just stops working at some point and I can't render those lightmaps.

ok, start up tool set
go to tools
options
level editor
light mapper commands check the last where it says

$(TOOLSET)\\\\Lightmapper\\\\EclipseRay.exe LightMapper.py --terse -cpus=2
this is the default setting if you notice the last command is -cpus=2
it should be --cpus=2, according to what I've dug up. the info suggest setting this to '--cpus=1'. I'm going to bet the default settings are wrong.

make sure you all ready have a c:\\\\temp folder

I had this working once, but then I organized a bunch of directories ... now I can't get it to work anymore. I wonder if I ever had it working?
