Indeed. GITS actually seems less exaggerated in its art style than this for some reason. 

Art is subjective like writing but the style is diferent based on how two studios worked on GitS, which happened to be IG and Gonzo.

Looks like a badly written, uninspired, generic anime-fication of the origins of a character few people were ever that much interested in. Having this released far more than half a year after the game, in which they completely failed to give a proper introduction to the character, seems kinda pointless. 
Still looks about 100x better than the complete abomination that was Dawn of the Seeker. 

And btw, anime can be great! Due to lack of time I won't be able to repeat my educational 'anime is more than you think it is' posts from the past, though.

Yet this is a huge assumption based on this very short teaser and the general look of it.  Btw this movie was actually announced a year ago while Vega wasn't annonced until later on.

You know, I haven't visited this part of the forums in 1 or 2 weeks. I had forgotten why so I came back... and then I remembered by clicking on this thread. BlueProtoss. Ones IQ degrades pretty rapidly when conversing with this specific individual. It doesn't understand logic and will run you in circles. It doesn't know the meaning behind most of the words it uses and feels that every opinion is a directed insult at it. It is recommended to avoid conversation with it. The forums would be a better place w/o it. Expecting a reply from it along the lines of "insults won't help you", "strawman"(rofl), insult with the word "jackass" in it, "non-sequitur", or its favorite "space magic". Wont read it either way because I'm leaving again from this part of the forums to let my brain recover.

Anyway... Saw the initial artwork for this quite some time ago. Looked alright, then I found out it was about Vega. "Lol, never mind, not going to waste my time on this train wreck". I keep a pretty open mind when it comes to anime, ill usually watch anything and appreciate the artwork more so than the story itself. But this... its about Vega and considering BioWare's aptitude with writing... Yea I'm going to pass and laugh at it later.

Yet you're still talking and its still ironic when you insult someone since it actually degrades IQ, which I'm surprised you never noticed.
