Is it a Japanese studio doing it? Looks incredibly western-ish...sorta like Ben 10...which is horrible...
Pfft. You wish.
The Dragon Age 'anime movie' was done by funimation, it's a pretty safe bet they probably made this too. <_<

Excuse me, I was in that demographic when I first picked up the series, and the direction they're heading in disgusts me as much as any of you. this is aimed at the adolescent audience that would still think the Star Wars prequels are good.Eain wrote...
Enjoy selling to the 12-18 year old male demographic, Bioware. You are doubtlessly shifting your focus to this easily exploitable market because of your boundless artistic integrity.

I never expected Mass Effect to be more than what it is... nor do I pump it up to be more than what it is.
A trilogy that in the beginning had great potential but ultimately feel short of meetting that potential. They did in improved the gameplay which was sorely needed but scafriced and did not improve on anything else.
What I said was... I never expected to be a Blade Runner from the start and that was mistake a lot of people made.

Why, people ask? Why? So Walters can push his pet characters onto us, of course.
Maybe after this there will be a Vent Boy anime.

It obviously wasn't gonna be Blade Runner but it felt smarter and wiser than what we're getting today. Also, I think I disagree with your assertion that we can't get Blade Runner quality from games. All developers have to do is abandon the mindset that stories in games don't matter, and start hiring A-level writers rather than C-grade.

No disagreement from meI absolutely agree with all of that. All I can say is that I was fooled, I guess because I loved KotOR so much I thought Bioware to be more than they were. Though for what it's worth I really enjoyed the philosophical undertone in Mass Effect 2 and even planned to somehow incorporate it into my philosophy studies at university. There's a lot of existential, moral and metaphysical material to work with in that game, from the Justica Code to Geth existence to Miranda's personality crisis to Thane's mention of Thomas Hobbes and so forth. It made me have real high hopes for ME3.
And then what I got was "synthetics and organics cannot coexist ever because space magic lol."
You can imagine my letdown. It's like discovering that the guy you thought was a top quality striker for his football team mostly just scored by accident and turns out to have no talent at all when it matters most.
