Mass Effect anime makes the ME3 ending look positively Shakespearian!

The artstyle looks kind of strange. It looks like a western cartoon more than an anime and the animations don't look too great either (cowboy bebop did better anno ' 99). I'll wait before condemning it, but I won't get my hopes up.

Wait, if that is the prequel to ME3 then what is ME1 and 2??:S

I hate how marketing just throws these phrases in. "Highly anticipated?".

Nobody is anticipating this, marketing folk.

The fact that you're making it doesn't mean that anyone was actually awaiting it. Jesus christ.

Who cares, ME3 is a standalone game remember? <_<

Huh??

OH!!! Right, right, totally remember that. New players should start with ME3 and all that bul... Ehhh, I mean stuff. Yes, stuff:D

Yep, newbies should start with ME3 and not ME1.  Posted Image

You know - Just like people that have never watched Lost before should start with the last episode. Posted Image

I have come in the recent months to come to hate marketing not just Bioware marketing but Game  Marketing period..

New Tomb Raider a hight anticapted  game, now has a the dark cloud of the  sexism floating over why... because  the Executive Producer and  Marketing thought it would be  "cool" to market ... the attemept rape of Lara Croft.

Seriously a good chunk of the issues come from  Marketing Exec who were  too wasted or hanger over during PR class to learn what words you use and don't us in marketing something.

Never thought of you as an MST3K fan, what's your favorite riffing and do you watch rifftrax?

At first glance, it seems made by the same guys who birthed the godawful HALO - Legends.

When did Shepard say "nothing is ever simple"?

And why can't they be cool and do it in Japanese?

Not sure when they are refering to, but my Shep said it in ME1 when fighting the Thorian.

I'm still trying to work out if the narrator is meant to be Anderson.

Well, that, and wondering how they can reference Shepard's comments in what is supposed to be a prequel.

A prequel to ME3 so...yeah. Also, the topic title is an unnecessary exaggeration.

1. I like vega, he's a good character to me. Certainly on par with the Blandotic Commando Kaidan Alenko.

2. I like one piece, animation style isn't going to bother me much at all.

3. Thought the same about spiderman and john carter, turned out they were awesome.

Three reasons I will rent the movie and reserve judgement till than.

Enjoy selling to the 12-18 year old male demographic, Bioware. You are doubtlessly shifting your focus to this easily exploitable market because of your boundless artistic integrity.

Excuse me, I was in that demographic when I first picked up the series, and the direction they're heading in disgusts me as much as any of you. this is aimed at the adolescent audience that would still think the Star Wars prequels are good.

Funny that. It's being written by the creators of The Clone Wars series.

Excuse me while I go and eat a gun...

Nothing in mass effect is Shakespearean... I don't think that was the intent.

It's a damn preview. Remember the trailers before Gladiator came out (if you're too young to remember then sit in a corner and shut up)? Frickin Bahwitaba by Kid Rock was playing!!! I dismissed it and thought it was just going to be some wrath of the Titans kind of movie. Anyone who's seen Gladiator will laugh at that comparison. It's an epic film.

Not saying this will be epic but don't be so quick to judge.

Gladiator was an awful, AWFUL movie that somehow managed to stretch a paper-thin plot to a length of several hours. I never quite understood the hype surrounding this particular Ridley Scott film, even though its production values were admittedly lavish.

Name  alone will get you a long way these days  ... as far the BSN and it's judgementallness ... ignore them.  That tends to happen with everything.

Though I have my reservations about this film,  I know T.O entertainment is the Studio but  i having issues  finding who that actually artist is

Yea, with the last novel, and this anime (haven't read the most recent comic books yet) it definitely seems that the target audience has switched into something that I am not a member of.

Finally every Bioware fan can experience the disappointment of realizing that the company you were once a fan of is now neglecting you and trying to find a new fanbase that is impressed more easily.

Think about this closely. :L

Not a hardcore one but they make me laugh. My favourite is in fact Space Mutiny.
Haven't watched many Rifftrax aside from the Star Wars prequels. "Oh Anakin's here to whine and do nothing."

I saw this yesterday too. The "ladies" insult is just plain bizzare, and the narrator sounds like the gag narrator from South Park.

I don't watch anime anyway, but I'm not sure why whatever this is needed a Mass Effect tag on it :/

I appreciate a lot of the more controversial things they tried to do in the game, even multiplayer to some extent, but this is a little over the line for me.

I'll reserve judgement till I see it, does anyone know if it will be only one art style for the entire anime or if it will change art styles throughout the movie like the Animatrix and DeadSpace: Aftermath did in their animated movies.

But I kinda wish they went the direction of Dead Space: Downfall for the style, but maybe they can pull it off here

That looks like complete garbage.....what a pity. After seeing Dawn of the Seeker which they did for the DA series I was impressed so I thought they might do a decent job for ME as well but no luck it seems. They might have sunk all the talent the company had in Dawn of the Seeker but just kind of decided to say screw Mass Effect and dumped all the talentless part of the company on it.
