Dear God! My eyes! My ears! I can't unsee it!
Ahhh... Anime... A comic with some minimal animations. No offence, but personally I'll not watch something like this.
...I think that if there will be an animated ME-move with "Japanese bias", then it should look like this:

I disagree. Maybe it's because I watch older japanese animation as well.Darth_Trethon wrote...

Nothing could make the endings look "positively Shakespearian". And I don't even particularly like Shakespeare.
This anime makes me like the endings more for sure I rather have the riginal endings then have this misfortune of a western style cartoon

I came into the thread to post exactly this.. Then I clicked on the link.. And boy was I wrong!!! I thought nothing could put ME lower than what ME3 endings did but this certainly managed to do so.

As an (obvious) Vega fan, I've been consistently disappointed with how shallow they allow the character to remain. I see a lot more depth/potential in him than most people do, probably because I've personally known (and married) guys like Vega, the determined, funny straight-edge Marine.

Shep was already famous before ME1 (especially with the War Hero background).SpamBot2000 wrote...
Well, it takes place after ME1 when Shep's already famous. So it's gonna be totally rad.
But yeah, this looks rubbish.

And people say they didn't plan ahead when they wrote the Mass Effect story?

This is a huge straw-mann while if you think ME1 was Blade Runner then there's something wrong with you while it gets worse when you resort to Power Rangers. Btw it sounds like you don't follow that much sci-fi when you think space ninjas, space marines, anime, and cringeworthy oneliners don't exist. You should know that Funimation produced this not Bioware and that Bioware has control over ME which allows them to do whatever they want to do.Eain wrote...
Mass Effect is changing its target audience, and I'm not in it. What started out as a thoughtful sci-fi setting with music designed to carry the Blade Runner vibe and dialogue that Picard could've spoken now became a goddamn Power Rangers episode full of space ninjas, space marines, anime and cringeworthy oneliners.
Enjoy selling to the 12-18 year old male demographic, Bioware. You are doubtlessly shifting your focus to this easily exploitable market because of your boundless artistic integrity.
This is very true and I love how some people start a useless witch hunt too get attention.Master Che wrote...

It's a damn preview. Remember the trailers before Gladiator came out (if you're too young to remember then sit in a corner and shut up)? Frickin Bahwitaba by Kid Rock was playing!!! I dismissed it and thought it was just going to be some wrath of the Titans kind of movie. Anyone who's seen Gladiator will laugh at that comparison. It's an epic film.
Not saying this will be epic but don't be so quick to judge.
Funimation didn't do anything wrong while they also did Halo: Legends, Dead Space: Downfall, Dante's Inferno, and Dead Space: Aftermath. All of them were actually good, but it seems like some people will always bash Anime without watching it.LilyasAvalon wrote...

Pfft. You wish.
The Dragon Age 'anime movie' was done by funimation, it's a pretty safe bet they probably made this too. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/angry.png[/smilie]

But maybe my standards are too high, I'd rather the studio that did Ghost in the Shell SAC take reigns of the Mass Effect animated series. Their animation is goddamn'd good. Every episode is literally scenery porn with good story and voice acting.

^ Well the world is going to end ...we are agree one something ... some people will bash anime without watching and it. Halo:Legends was good series of shorts films not as good as the Animatrix , Dragon Age:Dawn of Seeker did set Cassandra as BAMF for later installments.
Funimation is the distributor... T.O Entertaiment is the actually studio.
