idk, those were pretty bad too imo. Souls Within had a leg up in that it was really the most impressive CG movie at the time, but the actual content of the movie wasn't that great.
I saw Advent Children first in Japanese with English subtitles, and didn't think it was too horrible. Then I re-watched it in English and for whatever reason it was like it morphed into the worst movie ever.
Mass Effect anime makes the ME3 ending look positively Shakespearian!

Gotcha, and on that we agree. the re-take Earth CG trailer that had Shep and Ash fighting the reapers was beautifully rendered, and I'd watch a movie made in that style.

If the would release a movie in the style of the "Take Earth back" trailer I would buy it right away.
*sigh* Well maybe in the future

Quality is subjective and deviant art is a good example based on it having a wide selection of animation styles to look at. You really cant judge something based on a short teaser trailer because of the lack of information, which the same can be said about normal trailers. I see no reason to overeract on the different styles in regular movies just like I see no reason to as well in animation.Grubas wrote...
We can only judge the animation quality by what we have seen.
Whats your source?
If you want to see high quality ME content go to deviant art. This people are more talented.
I remember those days especially with the Thundercats, Voltron, Swat Katz, and other good stuff rerunning on Cartoon Network in the mid 90s.Psychlonus wrote...

99% of anime is the stupidest crap you'll ever see, why would this be different. Might as well have Wal-Mart start making anime it's so bad now. To top it off they're not even putting effort into the drawing anymore, who cares about this ****.
I see more assuptions are here even when Uwe Boll usually makes bad movies. Btw most video game movies are just as successful as most of the comic book movies and both have different adaptions based on the original source material. I just wanted to add that Paragon Lost isn't an adaption like the ME comics and novels.StevenG_CT wrote...
EA seems to have forgotten a few of the basic rules about games and movies:
1. Movies based on video games always suck (and it's not always Uwe Boll's fault)
2. Video games based on movies always suck

Robotech/Macross, Transformers and Voltron... my childhood right there in the 80's and they the original syndication make them cut and paste Macross in to the 39 episodes. You can add Gundam to that in more so in the 90'.

hopefully in the future this will be crap we look back and laugh at......when we actually remember it ever existed to begin with.
Yup, Hopefully we can do the same to ME3 ending ^^
Let me be clear, I don't like anime.... and "Paragon Lost" doesn't help the case... But I'm going to watch it so that I can judge it afterwards.

Would you care to name one movie based on a video game that met with critical success? Only a few have been financially successful and many have been financially disastrous.

Most of the video game movies are financial successes in theaters like Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia, Silent Hill, Street Fighter, and Mortal Kombat while the rest break even other then the Uwe Boll movies. You act as if comic book movies are having an easy time even when they're in the same boat as video game movies. Most of the successful comic book movies belong to Marvel while the other break even or lose a lot of money. You should do the proper research before someone makes you look like a stupid jackass.StevenG_CT wrote...

Enjoy selling to the 12-18 year old male demographic, Bioware. You are doubtlessly shifting your focus to this easily exploitable market because of your boundless artistic integrity.
Becuase that was an appropriate reaction.
