my warp doesnt miss half the time and yes the turian sentinel is the best team player he brings everything to the table...maybe not the best for quick gold runs with your buddies but for playing with randoms theres no class that can beat him cause you never kow what youll be teamed with or what faction you playLuckyBullet95 wrote...

i'm actually glad we get more diverse character options. i'd love to have a biotic infiltrator.
Also i think sentinels don't really profit from the mix of tech and biotic powers, cause you can explode neither biotic nor tech combos.
Yes you can, just not on your own. And that's what's so cool about it, the Turian Sentinel, for example, is the ultimate team player.
No he isn't. Warp misses 50% of the time, a horrible primer or exploder. Honestly a true team player would use a class with Overload in a Biotic Run. If you're going for Bio'splosions then the best classes are Warp Justicar, Drell Adept, N7 Fury and Smashguard. If your giong for Tech Bursts then the uncrowned kind is the Male Quarian Engineer (Arc Grenade --> Incinerate --> Incinerate), next to him is the Human Engineer and N7 Paladin (Overload/Energy Drain --> Incinerate).
Being a good team player doesn't mean buddying up with a Turian as a Salarian Infiltrator so you can detonate Tech Bursts. It means being able to synergise to the point tech bursts are a natural occurence.
Also why do you get on about the Paladin having all tech when you ignore the fact that the Shadow has three aswell (Tactical Cloak, Shadow Strike and Electrical Slash. Also the Smashguard has three Biotic Powers, as does the Novaguard despite being Biotic/Combat hybrid. Heck so does the Asari Vanguard... and the Drellguard. Hell the only TRUE vanguard is the Battlemaster...
What's Happening to the Sentinel class?

I somewhat agree with the OP, but its not a huge deal. Sentinels can not only be biotic/tech, they are also a defensive class. I still think the Paladin fits as a sentinel because he has a tech power for each enemy defense, and he has a !SHIELD!

The Shield did very little on Bronze, I think it will do nothing on Platinum.

The more pressing issue is the Paladin's shield.
The videos show it breaking on a Brutes charge on Bronze, breaking on Banshee scream and contracting Banshee AIDs despite the shield, on Bronze. Then, you think about Platinum. Concern warranted.
Yes but you also said Tactical Scan was overpowered so...

Like I said in another thread, even giving him throw instead of incinerate would have made him more interesting, IMO.
Throw would've been perfect, since hes set up as a defense class with that shield replacing his heavy melee.
That or pull, for synergy with Snap Freeze.

LOL. We saw video footage of the Paladin's shield breaking against a Brute on Bronze and contracting Banshee AIDS with the shield up. You draw different conclusions?

Lets wait till its out first and used by capable players before we declare its useless.
Edit: Ohhh you're the guy that thought TacScan gave auto-aim and was OP before it was even released? LOL ok that explains it.

Fair enough but I plan on only playing Platinum so I am concerned it won't hold up.

It's used by bad players. I'm sure you guys on PC and most of Team AreleX could find a proper use for it. But honestly I doubt it will see any use if speedruns are still possible (is there still no news on a spawn system change?)

I'm inclined to agree on that front but honestly I don't play public. Carrying three people who shouldn't even be playing Silver through a Reaper Gold Match? I'll take 12-20 minute runs with my friends any day of the week... Reave always hits and Warp Bubble applies it to anyone who steps in (easy for spawn bombing). Likewise most electrical damage powers like Energy Drain and Overload don't have a traveltime, no time for the enemy to dodge. Warp and Throw can be evaded to the point of frustration and frustration is not something you want to have on Platinum difficulty...

From the ME1 description:
The Sentinel is able to combine tech and biotics to manipulate the environment, disable and track enemies, or defend the party. Gameplay focus is on protecting the party using kinetic barriers and healing it with advanced medical training.
These are a list of potential skills, but few, if any of the sentinels, have ALL of them. The new sentinel:
Tech Powers: Check
Biotic Powers: Nay
Disable Enemies: Check
Track Enemies: Nay
Defend the Party: Check
Kinetic Barriers: Check
Healing: Nay (and afterall, only the GE can)
Secondly,
The Sentinel is also a "verstile" class, and in this case, ends up being the most versatile Tech user in the game. While it loses its biotic power, it still has shield stripping, armor weakening, and disabling powers of the entire elemental triad, as well as a powerful defensive ability for himself and squadmates.

The reason the batarian and vorcha had the same skill(s) is because BioWare is falling in love with copy and paste options.
As for the N7 Sentinel. These new classes I believe were just given random "new skills" to try and make them seem "cool" so that may explain that?
Just bug off with your negativity already. If you don't like the game don't post on the forums.

MP sentinels are now a mixed class, more versatility-based than theme based. The only real sentinel is the Turian sentinel. Others...not so much. Oh wait, at least they got biotic grenade.
Now with the Paladin coming up in the new DLC. The footage showed me an engineer with ....shield? An ineffective shield to be specific. It's a bit of a letdown.
Hope that the shield animation will be balanced later.
