This. The precident has been set. If anything we needed a tech focused sentinel to balance the biotic focused human sentinel

Not sure what Turian Sentinel you are using. Warp is used against armored targets, and it won't miss them. Never bother warping low tier enemies, just shoot them. Sort of a golden rule this.

And you're missing the point. Of course there are better classes for biotics and better classes for tech bursts. But the turian can strip shields, debuff armor and synergize effectively with a mixed team.

Please send me a link of that video, I couldn't find it and I'm curious to see how does this shield perform in real action.

Doubtful. Looks like it could take 2 or 3 bullets before breaking on Platinum. Cool concept though. I was looking forward to this the most too.

I dont see a problem. Human Sentinel is all bio, this one is all tech. Why is it a big deal? Are you one of those people who get their jimmies rustled because there's no tech armor? Because I'd rather he have more unique stuff than the same ability as most other sentinels.

I think it's bull**** that they **** on their entire design concept for what a Sentinel is. You'll never see any description of one that doesn't include mention of using both Tech and Bitic powers, and yet here they go and release the super Engineer. Maybe Snap Freeze does utilize some sort of Biotics or maybe they have a Biotic melee animation other than that shield bash. Or Mayr Bioware doesn't give a crap any more.

It's nothing I'll lose sleep over but it does make one wonder why they'd get 3 Tech powers when Incinerate could have easily been a Biotic one instead to at least keep things consistent. *Shrug.

That shield does look extremely weak. You'd think it could take more than 2000 damage. Maybe it just can't take direct hits. We will have to test it when it comes out.

The other thing I'm more concerned about is whether they fixed the rank 6A incinerate. With snap freeze and its fast cooldown I'd like to spam that and incinerate for cryo explosions. If they haven't fixed it for the new class then... yeah.

I hate when people say Human Sentinel is all Bio. Tech Armor Detonations count as, believe it or not, Tech kills. Whether you use them or not. Every Sentinel up until now was capable of getting both Tech and Biotic kill medals.

I'm a bit disappointed with the new sentinel, tbh. it was one of the two classes I was looking forward to (another being Engineer; now though, after seeing new Soldier in action, it looks great too).
The only unknown Paladin's factor is Snap Freeze, and if it's not insanely powerful, then the Paladin is a terribly mediocre class. Incinerate and Shield drain are support powers and can't carry the class on their own. Also, Paladin won't be able to perform any BE or TE, which is incredibly lame if you ask me. So far, it looks like the most useless Sentinel out there ( well, we'll see soon, but I fear the worst

Seems akin to the complaining there was around here before about how the MQE was pointless because Tactical Cloak is miles better than Incinerate.

Well, I have to admit, that I had same doubts about MQE, and it's now one of my fav classses; I really hope that Paladin will turn out to be great too. But he's still NOT a sentinel

I'm wondering where they have been going with sentinels for a long time. He has the tank feature, but not the jack of all trades thing going for him. And he doesn't have a defensive power like all the other sentinels! On that note, what BW could make is:

So far we only have 1 character in MP that uses sabotage, and i would really like to see its use in another class.
Defense matrix slows power usage, so to counter this I believe throw is a fair enough biotic talent, since it has a quick CD from the getgo. It isn't as overpowered as if it had energy drain, and I hope that a biotic talent as basic as throw wouldn't anger all the lore people that much. Just please don't create another biotic grenade sentinel class, two is plenty.

On another note, whether she gets this build or not, since it is a sentinel class which is based on "tanking" i really hope they would give her Tali's armor thats in the From Ashes dlc. The description even says something akin to Tali's suit is modified with armor reinforcement to better protect her from the elements.

If we could get a sentinel like this, a tanky jack-of-all-trades jiggly bum-bum, i would be very pleased indeed :wub:

Uh, the shield breaks against Brutes and Banshees because those attacks cause -stagger-. Just like they'll stagger you during a roll.

For all we know it is invincible to regular gunfire, Rocket Trooper rockets, Phantom blasts, Hunters, Pyros, Ravagers, and Turrets. The tradeoff is that the Paladin isn't killing anything while they're invincible.

Agreed. Start off easy, don't give players superpowers then take it away from them (result: buhu, my Krysae no longer cleans the entire map). A lot better approach. Bioware will buff it if something is deemed inferior/ useless.

Think its simply because he is a defensive class. In the olden days, Sentinel meant a tech and biotic wielder, but now it seems to mean a tech and/or biotic user who is defensive.

Actually, this. Especially since its such a mediocre power. Not bad, but nothing special. Seems to be bread and butter for tech classes.

It could really stand for a buff to make it more viable.

Is it really that different from having the normal human sentinel having no real tech powers? Yes, tech armour, I know, but in practice it's just a slightly less squishy asari adept. Why not have one that is basically an engineer?

i agree with you, he should have at last a biotic barrier or something, some classes really need to be fixed (like the mele quarian with no turret, or the vorcha soldier, they botch are cloned clases), so i'll sign (?)
