Also, does anyone feel a "tank" class is pointless? enemies shoot and everyone. It's not like the tank has a taunt to attract attention -- the shield should be like a taunt. Same with tech armor. Allies that have tech armor on should have more enemies attracted to them.

Snape freeze will need to be very good or else this class is allready broken.

I won't use the word broken but Snapfreeze is my major concern. Based on brief footage it looks like a frostthrower essentially but based on reports on Platinum there are few enemies on health so if you cannot freeze shielded enemies and/or create massive debuffs, this power could be useless on Platinum or next to useless. Add that to being able to take less damage on Platinum and this class could be very bad indeed, we will have to wait and see but it does not look promising.

Yes, i was thinking about some kind of debuff or good thing on snapfreeze, similar to cryoblast.
I was hoping for an evolution that allows shielded enemies to be frozen but I doubt that will happen.

@Stardusk I think the class has great potential for tech bursts, as he is the first capable of doing all three by himself! Seems like he may make for a close range crowd control expert.
Sure but one power you will need to forego (Incincerate would be best I think) because running no fitness on platinum would be stupid. ED is certainly a great power, the big 2 questions are Snapfreeze and the Shield....

Thats actualy a good idea, but you need to be close range if it's a icethrower ? and without DR ...
It definitely is close range, we know that much...

Hey, who cares?
You missed the part about having something MATURE to say about this conversation. Trolling is unnecessary.
I am not trolling. Once Vorcha came out the classic Sentinel was dead. Not really important though. The N7 Paladin has ED (best tech power overall in the game), Incinerate (decent but not great) Snap Freeze (who knows) and a Shield (will have to wait and see). If he is Platinum viable, I don't see the issue with lack of biotics.
The Tech/Biotic hybrid class lacking Biotics. You don't see an issue with that statement. Then you have nothing useful to contribute to this conversation and thus are trolling.
Tech armor should not count as the tech power in the human sentinel either, but that's just how it goes.

Ever since we got that armor boost, it's all I play.
This new guy looks a bit more unique, and we don't know much about how he'll play, so chill till Tuesday.

Why should Tech Armor not count as a Tech power, by that logic Barrier isn't a biotic power. Regarding the Vorcha his bloodlust was more like a passive, But he had both Tech (Flamer) and Biotic (Cluster Grenade) powers.

Again, you're making it up as you go along. Let's try reading, instead of pretending, shall we? Here's the link to the official class description that appears on the wiki, in the game guides, in the game itself, and everywhere else that matters:
http://masseffect.wi...m/wiki/Sentinel
Now what does it say under the Sentinel description for Mass Effect 3? "Sentinels are unique, bringing both tech and biotic abilities to the battlefield."
Not "capable of bringing both," not "bringing tech and/OR biotic abilities," and not unique in their support role. Unique in bringing BOTH tech AND biotic abilities to the battlefield, which every single Sentinel has done until this one, and which has been the ONLY common thread that EVERY Sentinel has shared. So no, not a variable. Get your facts straight. This Sentinel does not live up to that definition of the class that Bioware established. Sorry.
The more you push the issue the more you prove me right.
Look at the highlighed in CountryPayload5's post.
Notice the first sentence. Thats the catch all for for the class, expect individuals that are able to combine tech an biotics. Doesnt say they all have to do it. Then notice the class role description, the part that everyone ignores. Paladin fills that role.
Now this is speculation, because i like to work my brain.
Notice they specify Kaiden as an L2 Sentinel. What they just did was the equivelent of designating a soldier as a rifleman or grenider. That one sentence just blew the horn on the fact that all sentinels probably arent all held to the same training and skillsets.
If all human sentinels are biotic, why did they need to specify that Kaiden was a biotic sentinel?

I honestly doubt the class will work on platinum, but thats not a big deal at all.
only thing that really concerns me is that they missed an opporituninty to make an instant travel fire ability.

mmmm ok, so yea, waiting for the snapefreeze thing evolution description, but i don't have any hope *sigh*.
what you sighing for?
From the vid it chills, freezes, deals damage, and staggers... Only thing wrong with the power is its short range (man up or go home), and incinerates freeze combo doesnt work right (not snap freezes fault).
I kno im going 6/6/6/4/4 im not missing any potential for this class.

Why not? Stasis and submission net actually "freeze" enemies.

Same build that I got planned. I expect that incinerate and ED are going to be my go-to long range abilities, while snap freeze will be my "Oh Snap, their in my face! Take some of this!" move.darkblade wrote...

It is a huge deal. A new class that is not workable on Platinum. That is a big deal.

If so, I'm ashamed to share a favorite class with the sort of people who spend 7 pages of a forum thread debating whether or not a character that hasn't even been released yet is an exemplary representation of that class as a whole.
