It means the entire player base has to execute 400k successful full extractions so between 400k and 1.6mil matches with full extractions. i.e. if the top 25% of the player base in skill each has 12 successful (on average) extractions then everyone will get it regardless of how the lower 75% does...

(all values are approximate with an estimate of 700k active MPers, and yes this accounts for the possibility of the top 25% only playing with themselves. If every member of the top 25 ONLY did extractions with the other 75% then it would be as few as 4 successful extractions) i.e. This wasn't that difficult as long as people tried...)

All extractions on Jade should count towards goal. imo

On Jade, if you're in cover on the lower part of the LZ, I think it confuses the game into thinking you're on the lower level. If you're in cover above the stairs, you're fine. I always try to warn people about that when I get in games there, but it is a ****ed  up glitch.

We probably ARE supposed to fail this weekend. Maybe it's a weird social experiment to see how hard we'll try to aid in an objective we can't realistically individually enact when the individual reward is substantial enough. That, or they're just dicks. Or there are more active players than any of us realize, and a bunch will contribute accidentally, and the difference might be small enough to be made up for by people like plenty posting in this thread.

Many times me and my friends in private with mics stand in the middle of the circle. 1 or 2 of us always show as missed the extraction. In cover may do it, but 4 guys standing there looking at each other...........

400K full extraction is BullCrap and cant be right. I guess the Bioware guys in this topic are just trolling us. Think of it: Every reaper run has 40-50 Banshees. That would be 16-20 Million Banshees. We failed on 3 Million Banshees.... Just lol if u really believe that we have to get 400 full extractions. If it would be true than it would be even worse.... especially after so many members got banned.... Thats not gonna happen.

If every reaper run, you deal with 40-50 banshees you're doing something wrong. Very wrong.

Er...this isn't exactly a tough goal....

Full extraction on Bronze counts and most people here can solo it easily....The thing about this community event is that it requires the better players to forego the credits you get for playing the tougher matches and play the easier matches and get less credits...

So...how much of a community player are you?

Will the lure of "more credits" tempt you to play gold even though you're likely to be more successful on bronze?

40 - 50 Banshees...on new Space Magic difficulty.

40-50 Banshees is correct for a gold run if ur speedrunning or if ur killing the banshees right away. Could be around 30 for normal runs. Average is between that. You have 10 waves and an average of 4-5 Banshees per wave. If your speedrunning you just rocket them and there will be 6-8 Banshees at wave 4,5,7,8 &9 (2-6 at wave 3,10 &11 depends on the squad) Something like that. A few players prefer to leave them alive and kill them at the end, so its less for them but sill an average of 2 per wave (20 in total). Lets say there are just 3 banshees per wave (average) - it would still be 12 Million Banshees for 400K extractions. Just count the Banshees in your runs and you will see that the total numbers of them in a run is more than you thought.

You're assuming that Bioware is honest about event results. If they were being open, it would be no trouble to create a ticker showing how much progress has been made. Do we see one? No. Did they provide all the required information to the majority of the playerbase? No... they left some pretty critical facts out.

It's looking a great deal like the 3m Banshees "You're supposed to fail" event. Maybe it's for a "here's come reinforcements since you all suck" announcement as has been suggested. Maybe it's because BW is just trolling. But I'm pretty certain that no matter what we do, whether we succeed or not, there's gonna be a post on Monday afternoon : "Hey guys... you suck".

So why miss out on credits that we can spend on the DLC for an "event" that I'm reasonably certain we're going to fail whether we succeed or not.

If the PUG's I ended up with didn't consist of players who run straight to extraction of Wave 11..I'd have gotten more fulls

Exactely.

This Operation is basicly the evidence that BW just decides if we fail or not. They thought its fun to let Banshees spwan besides other enemies so they decided to give us an Operation where we fail to give us a reason. We failed on killing 3M Banshees. And to win THIS Operation it would be required to kill more than 10M banshees. So the Operations are just for fun and never based on real numbers.

But I am also quite pissed that they didn't include the word "full" in the description popping up in the console after starting the game. I mean how many people (at least on the consoles) are really checking the forums in addition to reading the splash screen?

And since they said explicitly ANY DIFFICULTY you would expect them to clarify the other parameter (FULL versus SUCCESSFUL) as well, right?

If the weekend operation should fail, then I am pretty sure because of this ambiguity.

I was playing with my friends Reaper Gold matches all friday night only to find out the next day by a friend, that we didn't contribute as many successful extractions to the community goal as we thought, because not all 4 squadmates made it to the extraction zone every time.

I think Bioware definitely has a QA issues. Announcing the weekend operation, they didn't even get the exact hours right across the different media. Not to mention the many bugs that are still in the game since the demo...
Is it really that hard? I am in the software business myself so I know quite well, that there is no thing as bugfree software anymore. But that's the reason why you need a solid QA management...

Anyhow, thanks for the great Multiplayer Bioware. It's just that the amount of bugs gets a little annoying sometimes. Especially when your game crashed again on Wave 11 on Firebase Dagger leaving you without your earned credits & experience. It's probably happening more often on Gold than on other difficulties, but my teammates and I hade our share of HARD RESETTING our Xboxes during the last days. Across countries, so it's definitely nothing to do with the Xbox hardware or the quality of the Internet connection...

I reached my goal of 2 mil. credits for the DLC so now I'm soloing bronze with a justicar. It's easy and I get a full extraction every time. I'm not very optimistic about our chances but at least I gave it the old college try.
