i made my characters on my old pc i am getting a new pc just before this game with windows 7 in it. Is it possible to save the characters just like regulars savegames or do i have to do them again?

I'm betting you can transfer them.

On windows XP the character data including portrait is saved to

C:\\Documents and Settings\\USERNAME\\My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Pre-release Characters

I would imagine you can simply transfer this data to your Dragon Age install should the format remain the same. No matter what machine you're on.

Now for the real question... will I be able to transfer it to my PS3? :P

I'm betting no, so I hope the character generator will be out for that wonderful little machine as well!

If you can upload your character here, it would make sense that you should be able to download em to any PC or console with a network connection.

Not saying you CAN, just that it would make sense ;)

I believe there are dev comments to the contrary on that Srikandi715. The data you upload to the social site is not a 100% copy of your character data, merely the information the social site can use to create its pretty pages. You cannot download your character data from the social site for use in game (yet, if ever).

Do your own backup just to be safe.

I believe that it is because the gradations used on the PC version and the Consoles are different. You can almost never create exactly the same character on consoles as you can on the PC. I can't remember what the reasoning behind this was.
