What I've learned:
Never play gold reapers with randoms who refuse to plug their mics in and listen to advice. You're just going to waste 5 medigels.

A further thing i've learned is that there are far too many people who stubbornly stand before full-health Ravagers, Brutes and Banshees, plugging away at them and doing squat damage before being blasted, trampled or stabbed to death.

Just been trying to even join a game and it's ridiculous. The last one I joined had zero level 20s in the lobby, two of them were level 16s with no mics plugged in. The match I joined before that, I joined mid-game and every single person bled out at the same time right as I joined. Of course I got taken down easily because I was a phoenix adept and it was a big circle hack objective. Immediately get kicked out of the game as soon as we return to the lobby even though obviously it was their fault and expecting me to carry them through the objective after all of them died before I even joined the game is absurd.

Gold has been truly flooded by idiot players.

If you only ever play bronze, then you can try to play gold, sure. But at least level your character up before you do. I hope that because of this event, players will practice gold before the next time this happens, because I've never had this hard of a time beating gold before.

I hate fighting the Reapers. That is what I've learned this weekend.

That some people prefer to kite a Banshee while shooting her with a Locust instead of sparing one goddamn missle, when they are the last man standing.

5,6 minutes of your time > 1 missle. It's really that simple.

Other than that, some people should learn NOT to revive me when a banshee is nearby.

Asari Justicar's are a beast against reapers.
I was pretty lucky getting the challenge in my first gold game.
Mattock X is a beast.
Reave is a beast.
Biotic Sphere is excellent support for Teammates and weakening enemies.

I've learned that Banshees can grab you while you're cloaked and in the middle of reviving someone.

That's what you get for trying to be a team player.

That claymore < everything. Team full of adepts and the claymore soldier outscored us embarrassingly. The rate he/she was killing the bigguns at... It was insane.

I need to practice my reloads..

I learned that Banshees loves everyone equally and two phoenix adepts and annihilate reapers quite effectively.

I learned that if you have everyone put a level IV incendiary ammo or warp rounds IV on, you can kick the reapers ass back into dark space.

2) When playing a class that lacks a dodge, stay as far away from Banshees as possible

I play Tag with Banshees on my Turian Sentinel. Running through them as they try and teleport to get closer to me is fun, too. ;3

Learned this a while ago, but if you can dodge roll, you can do so to avoid the banshee's grasp of death usually.

As in, she teleports right on top of you, so you dodge to the right then to the front or vice versa and she can never grab you.

...Usually. Not sure how effective it is if you're not hosting.

That carrying 3 bronze players (one had a mic and was 9 years old) is the most frustrating thing on the planet.

That a Harrier VI + Warp Ammo IV + Marksman>everything

We got Full Extraction and God damn I don't know how. By far most frustrating match ever.

I've learned that players with mics don't use them at all (i don't have one unfortunatelly). Even when everyone is down and the one of two banshees or somthing else is crawling up the last guys ars.
For the last 20 or so matches only thing i've heard is some guy sneezing ...:?

So I decided to whip out my Phoenix Vanguard. Usually I don't play aggressively, and I figured the PV would cater to my playstyle. I've faced down Reapers before and on Gold/Silver so I know what to expect, but it was never like this.

I tend to die 3-4 times a wave during this operation. That excludes Banshee hugs. I've been magnet pulled who knows how many times.

I know I'm not the greatest at this, but... I have no words to describe the utter hell this operation has been, Reapers have been utterly decimating me this weekend. And not in the 'just having an off day' way. It's been pure annihilation.

Bronze is at least 1000% easier than Silver but Silver is only about 100% easier than Gold. Please note that this does not mean that Bronze needs to be harder but rather Silver needs to be easier. This operation also confirms how much I hate playing against the Reapers. Bosses really should have weak spots.

Another thing I've learnt.

The Javelin is a pretty good gun on Reapers, due to the presence of Brutes and Ravagers. Only real issue are Marauders (due to shield-gate) but I usually run a SI with ED specced for max damage.

Was a bit of a Javelin hater coming into this weekend, but I've been converted (at least for Reapers).

Finally got it. Almost a full extraction too, except someone got instakilled by a banshee during our run to the extraction. I finally decided to just go easymode and use my phoenix adept and search for lobbies with biotic teams. Ended up with two Justicars and a human engineer and it was just too easy. Funneled them through two warp bubbles and I just smashed and lashed everything. No matter how many banshees, ravagers, and brutes got thrown at us they all got taken down in seconds. Fun times.

I know you don't have to use biotics to beat reapers but it's way easier.

And the thing that all these bronze players are missing is that on gold, you have to have a team that works together. Four completely uncomplimentary classes is just going to get all of you murdered on the third wave.

That when it lags, and when it stops lagging, Banshee will instakill you.

True story.

Marauders and Cannibals can f**k you up, and Gold isn't as hard as it's cracked up to be.

What I learned: Why try?
Someone is inevitably going to be missile glitching.
If you try to kick that person... You will be kicked.
