Why in the hell did BioWare even go to SDCC this year?

They didn't announce anything and apparently decided to continue their odd tradition of being infuriatingly vague.

No announcements, nothing new. Just promotion for a game that's already $30-40 dollars at most retailers.

What a total waste.

I remember you kept saying over and over that Bioware would put in some form of a reunion in the EC, and that they'd be stupid not to. They didn't, unsurprisingly. The reactions you kept giving however were glowingly positive that they kept the breath scene. Then after that you starting making these kind of posts.

It's like it was so bad your brain couldn't process it, so you kinda went bananas afterward. That's just my interpretation of it though, i'm not psychologist. Btw i wouldn't blame ya if this were the case.

As long as a main character lives... there is this constant pressure for "one more story."  It's how series that should have ended four or five stories ago keep getting drug out of the grave and turned into a pale facsimile of itself.  It was quite clear (and Bioware made it quite clear) that this was it for Shepard... and people STILL are crying out for more.

Can't blame a group for torching the whole thing to the ground, because that sometimes is the only way to stop the nonsense.

I wasn't really expecting a reunion tbh. Not when Shepard dies in most of the endings.

Excuse me, but I wanted there to be Mass Effect stories focused on different characters and time periods.  I wanted the trilogy to end Shepard's story.

Heck, I'm glad Dragon Age is going to have a different protagonist each game.  My Wardens' stories are done as far as I'm concerned.

But what I also wanted was for Shepard to have the ability, through proper preparation and making the right chocies, to have that story end on a high note.  I wanted Shepard to be a hero, not a messiah.  I wanted the possibilioty of an ending with triumph, valor, and perhaps, yes, a reunion.  Such an ending should be earned, but it should be available.

And without headcanon.
