She does change her hair by the way.

Uh, no she doesn't. The only change she made is to take off the big orange Cerberus symbol.

I can't imagine how some of the people on this forum would react to an actual naked woman.

OMG LOOK.

Seriously people, act your age.

They deliberately show Miranda's behind, and you expect us not to make a joke?

Everyone else is shot from behind.

It's a postioned shot framed for the establishment of the foreground. It is also utlized to prevent a violation of the 180 degree rule.

All the other characters are framed this way.

Uhm no, this is BW not acting their age.

Incorrect.

The scenes are composed to either the left or the right side of the frame.

This does not draw attention to it.

If you'd like, I could draw up a shot analysis and composition notes.

Her ass looks better in ME2.

It's a sign that Bioware gave her less attention in the third game.

Find me a screenshot like this for the other major characters:

Why are you so threatened by her sexuality? She even admits that her looks give her an edge.

Just because people admire her body, that doesn't mean she has to have a shallow personality.

What's the big deal? Characters in the game comment on her figure. Having a nice bum doesn't invalidate her as a character.

Go ahead. Is completely obvious that Bioware intended to submit a subliminal message. This does not happen to anyone else, and if it does, it's not done in a way that's clearly deliberate trying show someones ass. Also, you wanna pull out the "Act your age" card. Jokes are made about everything in Mass Effect, why your taking something, like a joke about a video game character so seriously is beyond me.

Dammit people, I created this thread to mock Miranda's supposed intelligence, not to create a discussion about her behind and Bioware's camera placement!

It's like a game of "Where's Waldo" but... No that's a bad example.

Miranda is suppose to be running from Cerberus! Why can't she change her hair to a pony tail or at least put some civilian clothing? Her outfit is extremely striking from any angle. I'm surprised TIM didn't find her before she landed in Sanctuary.

Framing choices are important.

It is no different than Jack's...how can I say this? Breast straps.

Woman are either framed from the backside or from the chest up. Men are framed full body or from the chest up. Nothing here is unusual, at least from a framing perspective.

I have a book about...the framing of Marilyn Monroe somewhere in her films. This is no different.

It isn't people admiring anything.

It's people going "huh huh hey bro come here n chek out this chiks ass." and the constant "dat ass" comments.

I think her butt is a bit more important.

Because she, along with a ton of people, got handed the idiot ball.
Or because it's "art" and would require work for it to make sense.
Butt it doesn't matter anyway.

If you'd like to discuss sexuality I can forward you some essays from film scholars. I even wrote one myself, on a film called In the Realm of the Senses.

Sex is not the issue. But the focus of people on it is.

There's this story about a hard boiled egg...

Again, I don't see so much focus on anyones ass except for Miranda. Please provide me evidence.

So anyways, I'm positive TIM and Miranda have fornicated before.

Notice I said backside. Nothing here is out of the ordinary.

As I said, a frame by frame analysis of a film will reveal more shots of the backside of a woman than man.

Yes, it's in your face, but it's not the focal point of the scene.

From what I've heard, both Miranda and Jack are far less popular love interests than Liara and Tali, even with Miranda's bum and Jack's straps. And this held true before ME 3 came out. Doesn't that prove most people aren't just romancing the character who is dressed the least modestly?

In fact, it holds true for a female Shepard as well. Jacob shows the most skin and Garrus shows the least.

Don't deflect the question.

EVERYONE. It's ridiculous.

It's why Miranda was second in command.

If only Wilson had her figure.

Yes, it's in your face, but it's not the focal point of the scene.

It obviously is because that's what everyone seems to notice, I mean anyone. If I were to run an expiriment , get one of every age from 14 to 50. I guarantee most people will notice the behind first, and think that it was meant to been seen as the "focal point"
