I started a new playthrough of ME3 (entire trilogy, really) the other day. Imported my ME2 character. First chance to do a mission, I went to Eden Prime to get Javik. Tried to do the first N7 mission right after and only an unselectable black outline of his character appeared on the squad select screen. I thought maybe it was a fluke, so I tried the Palaven mission next and same thing... no Javik. Anyone know what's up or how to fix?
Started a new playthrough... can't select Javik for squad?

You can't use Javik until after Menae. It's the games way to force you to have Vega and Garrus as your squadmates for that mission; afterwards you can use Javik to your heart's content.
