I've had this happen to me twice in the past two weeks.

I start playing several rounds with my friends to build up credits. I'll swap between various characters, but both times this happened, it happened when I swapped to my level 3 male human infiltrator. I play a game as the infiltrator, win, get the experience and go up several levels. Then I decide to go buy a pack from the store, but the store doesn't load. It gets stuck in the searching for outstanding purchases message, and just sits there.

At this point, I manually close ME3. Upon reloading ME3, all progress gained during the last session is lost. Any experience on other characters are lost. My infiltrator is back to level 3. And I lose all of my credits, which this time were over 70K.

Now I've gotten stuck in this loop before, exited the game, and then came back to find that I still had everything I'd earned. It's only the two times I've played my infiltrator where I get this massive rollback, and it's seriously wearing thin.

I remember this happening to me once or twice. The best thing I would recommend is actually having some patience when it gets stuck loading at the store when trying to make a purchase. It should "properly" boot you out back to the main menu and save your progress (haven't encountered this issue since doing this). I know most people's reaction is to CTD manually but from what I've seen posted, it makes things worse.
