I guess I did since I spent my left over Microsofts points on 2 PSP a while ago.
I know people probably think that alone is stupid but I have sunk alot of hours into the MP of this game and it wasn't like I was losing anything since I rarely top up my points unless I want a new arcade game/DLC.
So has who else has splashed out on some in game packs.
Who here has spent their real money on packs in this game?

its people like you...
who keeps this game going. so thank you
I'll admit I've spent some. I played the multiplayer demo a lot when it was released, when the game came out i just didn't want to start over again.
two weeks ago I got 20 PSN card for my bday from a friend and spent it on the packs.

Spent 5 bucks or so on spectre packs to see how the system works. Pulled a Saber upgrade, which was nice.

Did once. Five bucks. Got nothing good (no weapons). Never did it again.
Now, if the RNG had happened to finally drop a Paladin on me at that moment, who knows how much money they could have made.

20 dollars.
It was just to start out with decent weapons and go from there.

I did. Something like 5USD I believe.
I don't regret it. Paladin I came with it.

I've dropped at least twenty bucks. Plan to do so again when the dlc hits.
Kinda Off Topic: It seems like spending real cash ups the chances for high-end weaponry. Can anyone confirm this?

I dropped £10 on PSPs after each of the last two DLC launches, so I guess I'll be doing the same again on Tuesday.
If it means keeping the playerbase intact for longer, I'm happy to contribute once in a while.

I did. Bought one Premium Spectre Pack with some left over points to see if it was worth it and was quite pleased with the content. Since then have bought some more with in game credits.

Makes no difference whether a pack is bought with credits or currency. Runs off the same RNG with no modifiers.TheInvicibleCandyBar wrote...

Which is strange, really; you'd think since EA is involved they'd try to 'incentivise' giving them as much money as possible.

I'm tempted to drop about £10 to see if I get any decent loot when the new DLC hits, hell if I get good stuff I might drop another £10 just to say thank you for the loot.

Free MS point from the bing search bar rewards program. But not cash out of my own pocket.

I think they are trying to prove that it isn't a play to win experience if real money always guaranteed awesome loot it would go against that.

I have spent real money, but there was a guy that posted a thread a couple of weeks ago about getting kicked from silver lobbies because he has such good weapons. He had all the weapons at X, everything ( you could see his manifest ). When asked how he got them he said he spent $2,000.00 usd. He must be telling the truth because he said how you had to work around the default limit of $75.00 per day that xbox live lets you add to your point total ( He bought microsoft points from a video game store ).

I did spend a few as well when the first DLC was out because i thought its free i should support them.
Then i undreastood the store is a just plain rip of and i aint falling for that trip.
I spend 20euros and got like 2 of the new characters when i m pretty sure if the dlc had a true price tag , it would not be more than 10euros .
Bioware has made a goldmine out of these random boosters. The least they could have done is make the drop rate % public for clarity, not the code.
And another thing , when we had the cc drops everyone on the leaderboards has spend a decent amount of cash to get there . N7 ranking is cr**p on its own , add to that a pay to rank system and it cant reach a lower point .
This system has no longetivity and its unfair to both pvp and player vs company. But thats another topic..

5 N7 rares total and plenty of golds. As Tali once said: So worth it.

Yup. Much more than I should have, and I really don't have anything to show for it in regards to UR weapons...
