Free MS point from the bing search bar rewards program. But not cash out of my own pocket.

Same here.  I've maybe spent about $5 USD on packages, but otherwise I use MS points I get from Bing searches.  Its really the only way I can justify it.

Spent about £8 so nothing major...got about 4psp & a vp. Had PV in one, VS in the next, then level 3 upgrades for both claymore/geth shotgun & from the vet pack I got the Carbine :D

I spend a lot time playing this, so good to just chill out to so after spending my credit I currently have I'll see what I get before deciding if I buy points....very tempted atm

Early on, I purchased 2400 bioware points thinking that I would get all the ultra rares...lol. Haven't purchased any since.

I toss a few bucks into packs after some free DLC comes out. It's like tipping, I figure.

I've probably spend ~$30, give or take. Never gotten anything good from packs I've paid for with real money though, so I doubt I'll spend too much more.

I've never spent actual money to buy a pack, but I don't see a problem with doing so. A PSP is what, $3? Assume you can farm 200k credits in one hour, you can buy two PSPs. Even a minimum wage job offers more PSPs/hour than that, making the actual money option more attractive than using in-game credits. People who discount this by saying "credits are free" don't realize that time in and of itself has opportunity costs associated with it.

I've spent a bit of money a few times, but in my opinion it was always worth it. I work a lot of hours (well over 40 most weeks, even though I'm salary), but I make good money, and I simply don't have the time to farm up a lot of credits. I also took a few months off for D3 (which was a huge dissapointment, but that's another matter) and when I came back I REALLY wanted the ex-cerberus vanguard... I regret nothing! It's my favorite class by far, and I'd even go so far to say as a little overpowered (I'm annihilating banshees in gold this weekend, helping pugs clear the objectives).

Most of the people who spend a good bit of real money on games are people like me who work a lot (and make good money, I'm doing quite well) but want to enjoy games as much as someone who gets to play a lot. If it means I pay for a dozen other people's DLC, so be it :)

I am actually amazed by all the positive feedback here I was expecting a rage thread to come from my little story. Faith is restored!

A little under 20 dollars to get kick started, other than that, none. Its a waste of money unless you have a disposable income

The MP section is pretty chill while the story sections are a raging pit of vitriol.
Funny really, as I thought this would be the exact opposite, a role-reversal if you will.

I admit the MP section is chilled compared to the SP section with all their indoctrination theory crap threads being made over and over again.

But the MP section is no saint with the nerf wars and balance beggers. Or the worst kind of player the GOLD elitist who spits on the silver and bronze players.

I usually do during a DLC drop. I don't care what some people say. I can afford it so there. :P

I spent 20 bucks when Resurgence came out. I got multiples of every new character except for Batarians. It was actually pretty awesome. I haven't done it since though.

That's better than an average MW3 lobby.
I do love the "mute" toggle sooo much.

I'm a huge fan of XBLA and I'm constantly buying new XBLA games, but you can only buy MSP in specific amounts, so I often have "change" left over that is insufficient to buy anything else worth having, so I spend those on packs from time to time. I'm glad to do it, too; regular, free DLC with a decent amount of content is something well worth supporting.

Just some excess BW points that were reserved for SP DLC. This was purchased about 6 months before release, and when I realized that the first DLC was already included in the Digital Deluxe package, I couldn't resist rolling the dice.

More of a black ops fan but with COD its all the same, well with infinity ward it is Image IPB

And I meant the forum since its full of threads calling to nerf X weapon or buff Y weapon its so silly to read how seriously these people take weapon stats in a coop game.

Don't get me wrong I agree with balance I am simply saying some people really do exaggerate the issue.

i tend to spend a bunch of my cash on videogames so i have many recent ones and every tuesday i go to gamestop pick up a 1600 point card (especially on weeks no games are released that i intend on getting) buy the dlc that was released for whatever games and spend the left overs on PSP. i held off on this past weeks to save up for the dlc and im expecting no dlc of interest that has a price tag is going to be released this upcoming week so thats 3200 points ($40) that id have to spend on PSP
