Magnet Grab is absolutely intolerable

Honestly, the Banshees are already annoying enough, why do they also get hacks?

Seriously though - because fixing code takes time. Eric and his team work on a lot of stuff, and I think I remember him saying it's on their list of things to do. They're aware of it, and it's not something that was intended.

I found out today a meager husk has a similar effect, froze in place for a few seconds to get a back rub

Really annoying. I was having a great PUG match with some absolutely fantastic randoms, and we get to wave 11 without a single magnet-grab. What happens? I run to an ammo box for my Drelldept's nadey-needs, and out of the blue-purple biotic field comes a banshee... and she insta-kills me. With my back turned. Just grabbing some ammo. On wave 11. Trying to contribute to the full extractions goal. So. Frustrated. With. Magnet. Hands.

Why does everyone complain about banshees magnet grabbing us when we can magnet grab every single geth save the Prime, + other mooks?
I wonder if 'fixing' the banshee magnets will make over-the-counter grabbing harder to time, because it's essentially the same principle: action is conducted while target is in range, target moves out of range, but final result occurs regardless. The lag and other factors just doesn't help when it comes to the player knowing whether or not they're in range, but I'm sure the grabbing itself is working as intended.

Grab and Magnet Hands' magnet grab are different. Many times last night she would teleport next to me, I would combat roll away and then sprint about 100 ft away where I rolled to. All for naught though. All of a sudden I would be sprinting backwards and pulled into her insta kill.

Our over-the-counter grabs don't pull a Scorpion move and yank the non-boss types from across the map like a Banshee can.

Actually, experience in FBWGG has taught me otherwise, where hunters trying to slide along the counter get pulled back one or two seconds after ; but when on the grabbing end, its clearly attributable to lag. When being the grabee, its hard to tell exactly when banshees first begin to execute the grab, and you don't actually experience the impaling until a second or so after you've ran/rolled/charged out of range.

This is of course all speculation on my part about the game mechanics. And just to be clear, I don't actually believe that banshee grabbing and over-counter grabbing should function identically or if one is more overpowered than the other, I'm merely making a comparison between two very similar moves.

This is awesome and this seriously needs to pop up on anyones screen that gets insta killed by a banshee. It would make my day every time seeing it.

taking out 1 letter seems pointless.

Instant kills should only happen after being near the enemy for 5 seconds, otherwise they just end up being really cheap and unfair.

Seriously.

In the event that someone manages to make a Banshee stagger, she drops whoever she's about to kill.
I think Bioware made it damn near impossible to pull off in one of the recent balance updates though, I've only seen it happen twice in the past month.

Awesome, but you should have used a picture with the Banshees hand extended (when blocking a projectile power) and had the text part of "deal with it" magneting towards her hands.

Either way, funny sh*t though... despite being fist f*<ked several times today.

You know, maybe I should start spamming concusion shot at them, just to make them "block" like that. My Harrier does enough damage as it is, so they might be easy targets this way.
