People don't play easy games with Cerberus or farm geth, they actually try hard with the strong enemy.
Individual & Community Goals are really difficult, especially the latter.
Many new players just add challenge, even if we don't make extraction it's still fun to play and they try hard. Joining PUGs now is a matter of seconds. Judging by forum activity, people are interested in this too.

I've had loads of fun helping forumers. This has been my favorite event so far.

I liked the one we failed far better.

But we knew it was impossible from the start.

I am with you. Before this event, I was scared to play Gold (even though I beat the game on Insanity fairly easily) because I did not want to play with randoms, although I would constantly dominate Silver. Not only do I want to play Gold more often now, but I get rewarded for doing so! Although, getting into a lobby with people who are more experienced with Gold is harder right now, I will definitely start playing Gold after this weekend.

Still ran into too many games against Geth or Cerberus, but for the most part it's good to see people taking on the Reapers at a difficulty level a bit above what they're used to. You've gotta learn somehow, and I don't mind doing what I can to help.

This one seemed pretty tough too.

Full extractions vs reapers dosen't happen that often.

It will be even better when it ends and they meander back to Bronze. Then I can give my weary bones a rest. 2 extractions, it was painful to play. Being someone's babysitter isn't my idea of fun.

Reapers on ANY other week is the best way to play the game however.

On gold. Maybe on silver too, but it shouldn't be so hard on bronze, right? And I didn't see excitement during banshee event. Maybe the fact that I'm saving credits for new DLC helps too.

Agreed. I didn't have to work today so I pretty much just decided to be lazy and play MP today. Its fun to team up with 3 randoms and attempt to get an extraction. Only maps where I haven't managed to get one are Goddess, the Palaven one, and Dagger.

We ended up wiping on wave 9 on Dagger, so that sucked.

I liked it because it gave me a chance to try out gold without worrying too much about people hating on me too much for not being very good at it. Didn't make me a great player, and I can tell iIm not up to moving to gold right now, but it did give me a feel of what to expect down the road.. Knowing what it's like rather than just guessing about the horror of it is gonna help me gauge my readiness a bit better down the line.

Plus I got to play with some cool people, and even if I wasn't near their level, it let me take a look at how they played, pick up some things to work on, and let me learn a bit here and there that will help me later on.
