So I attended Comicon, played Platinum, and survived the extraction wave.  Apparently since our group was the first to achieve mission success, I won a Mass Effect 3 Razer headset.  Cool!

Anyways, I can answer questions.

EDIT:  Cal, the Salarian Engineer playing, apparently had a photo of the victory screen.  I was playing a Krysae-wielding Geth Infiltrator using Disruptor Ammo.  Cal was playing a Salarian Engineer with a Carnifex and Cryo Ammo.

Details from the photo on my camera (won't be able to upload it until I get home tomorrow):

Firebase Glacier, Cerberus (until round 3)
35:12
339485XP (as mentioned no bonus due to settings)
130250 credits (low time bonus on account of some hairy device objectives)

208203 Geth infiltrator
56821 Salarian Engineer (myself)
47877 Sentinel
26584 Vanguard

Sorry no details on the others, pretty sure they were both human but was not paying much attention. I was mostly tossing decoy to bottleneck the bigger enemies and snare banshees/phantoms when I could, to keep the pressure off the team and let the heavy hitters do their work.

Tense rounds at times, particularly the last few, burned my last medigel on extraction trying to raise someone in a cluster; just came down to waiting until the last second to burn the medigel and wait out the timer for the successful mission result. Not bad for my third or fourth game on Xbox (and I thought the all-in-one button was annoying on PC...wow moving around was tough to get used to).

Platinum will be soloable. But it won't be easy.

Sorry for the delay, didn't bring anything to connect my camera to. Here's the scoreboard from the match:

Also, funny story--I named my SE Kirrahe. HOLD THE LINE.

(I named the SE on the dev2 box Wiks)

EDIT2:  Missed Connections
So, I was wondering if I could find any of the people who were around when I was at the Bioware Lounge at Comicon.  There were some great people there and I really  enjoyed the whole experience.  I already have phone numbers and contact info for a few of the people who were there (the guys who were sitting on the same couch with me when I beat Platinum), and I've encountered Cal- the Salarian Engineer here on BSN.  I'm curious if anyone else reading the forums was present.

Cool, nice to hear someone beat it. I was hoping it would last a little longer though :)

I'm guessing that for most players it will be harder than it was at Comic Con since our dev kits over there probably had maxed out ultra rare weapons and all the gear.

Are you dissapointed little bit ?

Is there any chance we gonna get the weapons from the dev kits we saw? And soon maybe?

No not disappointed. We designed Platinum to be much harder than Gold but still fun. We're hoping that it will always be challenging for the best teams, but something that enough people can play and have fun with.

I'm pretty sure that's untrue.

But according to Ashen earth and after trying it a few times myself i believe they'reunable to grab you when their Teleporting aura is down and they're just flining Space balls and novas at you.

Interesting.  That might be worth doing some testing on, if anyone's willing to take the time to do that.

That was the case at one point... it was a bug which either was fixed with the patch for Rebellion or will be fixed soon (I can never keep the patches clear).

When you get close to her, she tries to melee you - and that's when the sync kill chance comes into play. Either she does a regular swipe melee, or tries to sync kill you.

When she's teleporting around, she's just closing on you faster - she'll end up in the same sort of melee/sync kill thing... but while she's in her teleporting state there's no cooldowns on her melee/sync kill so you're more likely to get tagged at that point.
