Well im on my first run through the game and i reached lvl 14 on Morrigan,she is my main dps atm,with alot of % bonus into cold from her gear.Now i have to choose for her 2nd spec but the only option i have availiable right now is Arcane Warrior.i dont want to remove her robe gear setting her up with heavy armor and a sword instead of her robe and staff,i fear ill loose alot of dps this way.
What options do i have?
1) Dont lvl her up until i get a new spec unlock for her?(id realy like to give her the bloodmage spec since wynne is my main healer so far.)Ive heard that u cant get the bloodmage spec if ur main aint a mage,is that true?
2) If i lvl her up and not choose a spec,can i upgrade her spec when i reach lvl 15 or higher?
Morrigan as Arcane Warrior?

I played with Morrigan and Wynne both as Arcane Warriors, it worked out great. You don't have to equip them with heavy armour, they just get more stats and abilities, at least this was my expericence. They only time I changed their robes is when I found one with better + abilities.

If u don't want Morrigan to look as a tank, then don't take the spec, i personally love it, and had Morrigan as a SH/BM amazing combination! Check out Colma's nightmare AW thread for more info on it.

I just discovered that you can equip mages with swords and armour. I didn't know this. Compare equipment for Morrigan, Wynne or yourself with a vendor to see what your magic attributes are to arm this type of equipment. I was amazed at this.

elvalia, its mainly the Fatigue what makes it worthless to equipp, and u can only equip mages with armor(aside from robes) if u have at least the Combat magic talent from the AW, swords u can normally equip, but its just better to stick to staves unless u go AW.

I usually make Wynne and Morrigan AW. I'm playing as a mage for the first time and have also choosen AW for myself and when I hit lvl 14 will go with spirt healer for myself. I just placed myself in Wade Superior Drakeskin as a mage and I have a minus fatigue stat. I can't wait to see what happens. I haven't decided if I like playing as mage. I'm a rogue fan all the way. I might choose Blood Mage since I just now unlocked this. Hmmm, have to wait and see how I decide to play and what ending I will choose.
