Everyone who was at the panel says during the QA segment the panelists looked afraid, described like "deer in headlights". lol.

they absolutely do not want to address any fan complaints directly.

Imagine a world where a studio stood behind their work and could stand up and address fan concerns head on?

Really? "Everyone"? REALLY?

Yeah, you go ahead and imagine your world. I'll be imagining a world where fans addresed concerns rationally and respectfully, without vitriol and hyperbole.

uh oh here comes the word police! Ok word ****, I'll correct the word choices so they are more palatable for your delicate sensibilities...

There are a few people (more than one) saying that the panel looked nervous/uncomfortable during the QA segment.

Is that more within your comfort zone I wouldn't want to upset you any further.

So uh...is their proof of these screened questions?

Testimony from people who went to SDCC, like Reptillian Rob...

Another question then, is this a common practice during panels?

I don't know how to actually prove it.

The evidence is that no hardball question has been asked at any of the public outings.  Seems impossible without screening the questions? But I admit that's not absolute proof.

To screen questions for innapropreate questions that have to do with stuff such as drugs or sex or ete? Yes.

To screen questions for inquiries that the Panel is desperatly trying to ignore and hopes it goes away? Nope.

And is there proof of that basically is what i'm trying to get to the bottom of.

It just smells like a conspiracy theory thing dude, i'm sorry

Fair enough, it just feels like a bad thing to assume. I mean, other companies that have had issues such as this, were there ever hard questions really asked? When Blizzcon comes up will people be up in arms over Diablo III, as an example.

It just seems like if they are screening questions, and its a common thing for all panels, its likely no one has even asked the questions you want them to ask, or even care to ask them since they are in public. thats my guess, at least.

Screening questions? I believe so. They did it when I was at Comic Con in New York two years ago.

If you want absolute proof, then go yourself to the next event and ask them any hardball question from the huge list of hardball questions we have and you'll find out.

I've seen it happen to numerious companies. Companies come under a ton of fire for poor choices and things going horribly wrong. And those companies take the fire. So far, Bioware has been trying to make sure they don't have to take it. How else do you explain no one mentioning anything related to "Mess Effect 3".

I don't know, getting over it? Stopped caring? Considering it seemed like two of the questions posted earlier revolved around Mass Effect 3, its not like they are not answering questions.

And what companies have been grilled at a comic-con panel, im curious?

I was talking about in general, not comicon spesifically.

And, yes they're answering questions, but only one that avoid the giant elephant in the room.

BioWare: Suffering the worst case of foot-in-mouth disease I've seen this year. Every time these guys go to a convention they end up making themselves look like fools. BioWare doesn't want to acknowledge that there was a problem with the endings. They don't want to admit that they made a mistake and they certainly don't want to apologize for talking down to the fans who had issues with the endings. It's like they WANT to keep their heads buried in the sand. I think people need to start understanding that they're not going to get an honest answer for what went wrong with Mass Effect 3. It's just not going to happen.

I thought a ton of money was raised for charity. So you were trying to use a charity to get a new ending? How cynical (and I'm someone who really wants a new ending, although getting a decent one is impossible without completely re-writing the game).

Rewriting the game?

The ending we have now doesn't make any sense being in the game. If anything, they need to write an ending that actaully coincides with the games' story.

Which, I couldn't salvage the endings at the moment. Everything in the game builds up to that ending, Its just that the ending doesn't work at all.

Even then, There are issues with the rest of the game that are just as painful, at least to me they were.

Well yeah, they screen out the question so none of them are sexual in nature or mallicious...

However EA was screening theirs so nothing about the ending or story specifics were asked.

We definately did not get the "big things" as promised by Gamble. Bioware blew a great chance at some positive PR at SDCC.  Instead, they rehashed a lot of the same "we worked hard and Multiplayer is great" mantra.
Don't get me wrong.  I'm thankful for the EC to a certain degree, but this would have been a great opportunity for Bioware to give the singleplayers somethuing to look forward to.  Instead, all we got were vague hints, a picture and ambiguities.

Personally, I have been hanging around waiting for Single player DLC announcements and I thought we would get something of substance at the SDCC.  But no. alas.

I'm tired of waiting while, MP keeps getting more weekend events and free stuff.  Seems every other week there is something announced for MP.

SDCC panels are an art form.

Respect their artistic integrity.

Well during the conferance they were not asked any, and in terms of the BW booth afterwards I don't know I wasn't there. I didn't go to the booth afterwards because I had already been there on Friday and that morning so I didn't really bother. :/

They weren't. That's what we're discussing here. They went out of their way to avoid and legitimate questions of the fans.

What did they mainly talk about in the Press, DLC or how great ME3 was and  all the 10/10 reviews it got?

So does the fact that they didn't answer any real questions reassert the validity of IT?

I don't think they even discussed DLC or the 10/10 reviews.

The most legitimate question they answered was the Breath Scene question and fans in the room were apparently displeased with that.

It sounds like the real "elephant in the room" are people that aren't willing to move on. It also saddens me that ignorant people like Glenn Beck and Cliffy B are more mature then most of the angry "fans".

Ask any retake member current or former what happened at PAX east. When numerous individuals arrived wearing Marauder shields T shirts they were not allowed in. May not be screening questions but its damn close, or worse.

As far as screening questions itself it might be a "common practice" but no company blatantly ignores the issues with their product like this. I don't care if they don't let anyone ask a single question, and they talk for fifteen minutes but they should discuss the endings in further depth than the simplistic dismissal they've given frequently throughout this thing which chalks up to "Fans interpreted this all wrong"

Bioware not wanting to have a panel at a major con turn into the complete effing gong show that BSN has turned into? Gee, no **** they screen the questions.

If people actually think that there's still some glimmer of hope that more "fan" pressure is going to make Bioware do anything more with the ending of this game, then being deluded really is contagious.
