Absolutely, why compromise when you can just kill every advanced life form in the entire galaxy?

B/c 'assassinating' the protagonist is sooo much better.

To answer your other question, even if the Omega DLC is predictable, it still has the chance of being fun, which is the whole point of adding additional content.

Which is really the breaking point for some of us, we love the universe but for me at least playing Mass Effect is no longer fun. I know how it all ends and know no matter what I do in game I can't escape that outcome. The entire experience has been retroactively soured for me. So I have no desire to spend money on something I know I won't enjoy.

that sums it up quite well

I knew the ending to ME2 before I got LoTSB, and it was one of the best DLCs I've experienced.

The DLC should be judged on its own merits, and not what you didn't like about the ending.

I don't care about the endings or EMS... I just wanna play ME : >

When the central them to this entry is sacrifice, then yes. I'd rather have my Shepard die to save the people of the galaxy instead of sacrificing all the people of the galaxy because I didn't want to make a choice.

The point of the DLC is so you can spend some more time in the ME universe, learning about other characters and new situations. If you're honest, you know how 99% of stories you ever read/movies you watch are going to end anyway, it's all about enjoying the experience of getting there. I just hope that the quality of the upcoming DLC is more on a par with LotSB rather than From the Ashes... the latter was interesting enough and I like Javik and his dead-pan comments a lot, but quality-wise it felt more on a par with the free stuff from ME2. As for Aria and Shephard...Shephard is just the kinda guy that Aria would go for in my opinion. He's dangerous, darn handsome and can hold his own in a fight. I'll eat my hat if Aria doesn't at least try....

You could say I knew how 99% of other stories where going to end, but you exclude the fact that even if I knew how it ended I was likely satisfied with the way they did. That's not the case here. Sexy time with Aria won't change that.

Unless it is free no thanks. Seeing as how they really did nothing to truly make the endings make more sense it would be a waste of time for me to expect anything decent from bioware anymore

Perhaps you do, but with that you literally go against what Shepard stands for right from the very beginning. It doesn't matter if you choose Control, Destroy or Synthesis, all of the three ruins the theme for ME. Reject, while exexution is harsh, is the only ending that remains true to the series.

an Aria romance option would be stupid and not in keeping with the ME universe... so i'd be surprised if it wasn't in...

I feel the same. The ending ruined it for me, I no longer want to be a part of the ME3 story, so twisted and unrecognizable.
I'm still interested in the universe. But i have no interest in playing ME3. I havent started the game for month now (no, i didn't even play the EC).
I can not find words do describe how much I hate how this trilogy ended, and I'm heartbroken over it.

And it's not like i "let" the ending ruin it for me. It's just the way I feel. It's a feeling, not a switch that I can flip on and off. "Oh, today I want to like the game. Better set the like-switch to on". No, it doesn't work that way.

So no. There will be no purchase of mid-game DLC for me. I know how the story ends, and it's horrible.
Something I was blissfully unaware of when I purchased and played the DLC for ME2.

Indeed. And more story is good for all of us. Besides, I never played Mass Effect to get to a particular destination. I played it because of the journey it took me through.

I don't get why so many people come on to this forum and talk about how they hate the game/haven't played in ages/don't intend to play/want nothing to do with ME3. If you really hate it that much AND want nothing more to do with it WHY do you keep directing your web browser to this forum, opening threads and replying to them? I don't get it. If you don't like ME3 go talk about another game on another forum.

I've read the comic about Aria losing Omega and do look forward to a DLC continuing that story. I'm hoping it wont just be Cerberus but also some new reaper forces. In case any Collector's Edition owners haven't realised, the free comic was just part 1 of 4.

First of all, many that feel that way are already gone, maybe for goodm which means "bad" for Bioware actually.

Second, there are people like me. That' don't "hate" Mass Effect or even ME3, but the way it was ended against everything that made the games wonderful to play.

Currently, I jsut come back to this forum to be a "hater" for the single reason I am still angry (with a mix of bemusement because of Bioware's failure) and don't want that this forum refelcts only the opinions on the fans that are "content" with how this great series sunk itself and violated their iconic main-character....

But don't worry, even my "lust" to d othat grows thinner over the weeks, and I begin to look elsewhere, after the ME-Games are packed back into the shelve where I don't see them. Out of sight, maybe soon out of mind.

And on topic: Even with an appropiate ending true to the lore and feeling and themese and characters of Mass Effect this DLC seems boring to me, mostly because I never liked Aria or Omega, and the universe is better off without both of them, but that's just me of course....

Well, what satisfies one can't satisfy them all. Everyone has their own way they want a story to end, but unfortunately you are always at the mercy of someone else regardless of how much choice you think you have. The only way to make it end the way you want is to write it yourself. But unfortunately, most of use aren't really capable of doing this, at least in a way that's not totally camp or cliche.

LotSB was supposed to be set after Suicide Mission. And your Shepard was alive, not some Reaper God, or jumped to the beam like a fly, or left to dead in ruins of Citadel.
