To answer your other question, even if the Omega DLC is predictable, it still has the chance of being fun, which is the whole point of adding additional content.

Since when did any of the DLC in ME1 or ME2 have a real affect on the ending?
Since when Shepard was resurrected and teleported back in time, so that you could buy and try out new DLC asap?
ME2 was "seamless" with DLCs, you could buy them before last mission, after last mission and somewhere in between, it made sense. ME1 needed save before ending and\\or required fresh run. But ME3 is soooo special about this, you know...
ps: and I REALLY hope they won't make Aria break her Main Rule and make any kind of exeptoins for Shepard.

I hope not. If they go down that route, they might as well add in some Wargreymons as mini-bosses. It's not like suspension of disbelief could be broken anymore after adding in teleporting Mr Smiths.AresKeith wrote...
are we gonna fight the Adjutant in the dlc?

The game does need some fresh new enemies in both SP & MP though.

Which is really the breaking point for some of us, we love the universe but for me at least playing Mass Effect is no longer fun. I know how it all ends and know no matter what I do in game I can't escape that outcome. The entire experience has been retroactively soured for me. So I have no desire to spend money on something I know I won't enjoy.
This.

Who cares about pre-ending DLC anyway? Why bother if you already know the ending...
I knew the ending to ME2 before I got LoTSB, and it was one of the best DLCs I've experienced.
The DLC should be judged on its own merits, and not what you didn't like about the ending.

Even if they made a DLC that gave you a wider variety of fish for Shepard's cabin.

Q: How as writers do you decide who dies and who lives?
Hepler: "Well, we have this dart board..."
What a troll. First the comment about the breath scene, now this.

The only way of judging it 'on it's own merits' is by buying it in the first place, which negates the value of choice in the process. I mean to say, you'd have to pay to own the thing anyway, in order to judge it on it's own merits, at which point the question of whether it's a worthwhile purchase ort not becomes irrelevant since by then you already have purchased it. People are right to rationalise whether to buy or not, otherwise we'd just be incapable of making any decisions, about anything, ever.

I'm just assuming that the quality of the DLC will be similar to the other Mass Effect DLC Bioware has released in the past. They're usually worth the money.
That's what reviews are for anyways. I'll read one or two and then decide if it's well worth the purchase. But I could really care less if it has a direct effect on the ending.

First of all, many that feel that way are already gone, maybe for goodm which means "bad" for Bioware actually.
Second, there are people like me. That' don't "hate" Mass Effect or even ME3, but the way it was ended against everything that made the games wonderful to play.
Currently, I jsut come back to this forum to be a "hater" for the single reason I am still angry (with a mix of bemusement because of Bioware's failure) and don't want that this forum refelcts only the opinions on the fans that are "content" with how this great series sunk itself and violated their iconic main-character....
But don't worry, even my "lust" to d othat grows thinner over the weeks, and I begin to look elsewhere, after the ME-Games are packed back into the shelve where I don't see them. Out of sight, maybe soon out of mind.
And on topic: Even with an appropiate ending true to the lore and feeling and themese and characters of Mass Effect this DLC seems boring to me, mostly because I never liked Aria or Omega, and the universe is better off without both of them, but that's just me of course....
This is pretty much exactly how I feel, especially the last part. Aria is a boring character and Omega is a craphole. Toss Aria out of an airlock and blow up Omega, the galaxy will lose nothing of value.

Well, that's simply the most obtuse thing I've heard in a while. Gee, why did I play ME1 and ME2 24 times when i already knew the ending?!? Oh, I don't know, because it was fun! Because I enjoy playing this series!
Why did I play Lair of the Shadowbroker and Overlord and Arrival when i already knew how ME2 would end?! Because they added to the game and they were fun to play.
Seriously, you should have just said, why play pre-ending DLC when I'm already depressed about the endings?
I thought Aria was pretty under utilized so another mission with her and getting back to Omega would be good. I'm also looking forward to Laviathan as well.

I want omega as a main hub. I want there to be a racist Batarian bartender who poisons me. I want to make him drink his own poison. I want to watch the Asari dancers and waste my military budget tipping them. I want the vorcha to fall for Gavorn's tricks. I want to be told that I'm the blight of the galaxy. I want to hear war stories from the Patriarch.
