DAO is probably the best game i have ever played. DA2 is a great game, but not DA:O2.

So what is the difference between Origins and Origins Awakening?

Awakening is the expansion for Origins. Think of it as a book series.

Dragon Age: Origins is Chapters 1 through 10 of the first book,
Dragon Age: Origins: Awakening is Chapters 11 and 12 of the first book.

Dragon Age 2 is a whole other book in the same series.

If you like mods, pc is the way to go. I have DA:O for both 360 and pc and I have quite a few mods for the pc including a romance for ser gilmore. DA2 I play on the 360.

I enjoyed both games. Both have interesting companion chit chat and that's a large part of the appeal for me.

There are things about DA:O that I don't care for, and things in DA2 that I think they could have done better, but nothing that I can't work around and nothing that made me want to throw the games away or never touch them again. Both were fun.

Your party members will judge you, however, depending on their own personality and sense of morality.

Obviously nobody has told them: "thou shalt not judge, lest ye be judged"

But they will accept bribes.  :)

So the trick is to get them in that order? Origins, Awakening, and then play DA2 with less expectations?

Try DA first if you like the combat system then you should be good with the rest to some extent or other. If you don't, save your money.

The biggest change outside of the combat system is that DA is more like BG with lines of unspoken text rather than ME.
If you like the combat but don't like that aspect, then there is a good chance you will get on ok with DA2.

Awakening is the expansion to DA so if you want more DA when you finish it, then buy awakening.

If you want something that plays in a similiar fashion to ME but with more proactive AI, then I'd recomend Binary Domain.

Yes. That is the series' order. Unless you like playing sequels before the first, infinetely better one, I dunno. :P

Also, what others said.

Just as the title says. I'm completely sold for Mass Effect, and since Bioware are the developers of DA.. Who knows?

So, is it worth getting? Should I get Origins? Or Just Dragon Age II? And for what? 360? PC?
Thanks.

Origins is well worth it. DA2 is only worth getting if it's free, and even then if you have nothing better to do with your time.
