Samara - Not only the best asari, but one of the best written characters in the trilogy. I'm still bummed that she was reduced to a cameo in ME3.

Matriarch Aethyta - We all thought the Asari were refined and graceful from ME1. Then along comes this lady in ME2 and proves us all wrong.

Liara - Still the best female romance in the trilogy. I can understand why people think she's a Mary Sue, but I like her.

I think Samara is the best written character, so interesting and myterious.

All of them. But cutting it down... the ones I found the most interesting were Liara, Samara and Morinth, though if I had to think about it, there might be others I liked more... I admit, the Ardat-Yakshi smuggling in a copy of Vaenia was rather cute.

I completely agree about Samara and Aethyta. While I don't mind Liara (and she's incredibly useful from a tactical perspective, to be honest I've always found her character to be somewhat contrived and less interesting than most of the other ME characters...but that's just me.
