Considering the hatred towards her I'd be waiting for some hilariously contrived DLC where she gets killed off after ingesting Turian fluid if we told her to get of the Normandy. They got rid of Udina due to dislike for him so I don't see why not.

If you don't recruit her, the ship she eventually does get on is blown up by reapers. Personally I'm indifferent toward her. No strong feelings in either direction. I do think she's a wasted opportunity. They could have done some interesting things with a reporter on the ship (or at least her interviews could have been longer). It also wouldn't have killed them to cast someone who could actually act.

If she was played by ANYONE else, allers wouldn't be an issue. I personally didn't care because Chobot has been an outspoken Mass effect fan for years.

Emily Wong is the reporter they should have had on he Normandy! The worst things about Allers was the horrible VO.

What happened to Wong? It would've made a lot more sense as a romance option to (especially if you helped her so much in ME1) Not just "yo welcome to my ship lets have sekseh timez"
Not to mention Chobot. That's absolutely ridiculous and cannot be explained by logic.
I guess EA thought it was a good money move for IGN to keep on worshiping Mass Effect without QUESTION.

She dies on Twitter crashing her van and Taking a Reaper with her. She was going to die so she took one down with her.

And, yes, I agree. I wouldn't mind Emily as a romance option. She's an established character and pleanty of room to develop her character. Heck, start it off with Shepard hitting on her for good measure instead of the reporter flirting with the subject.

Her long finger nails roughly traced red lines accross his scalp as he worked her core. He smirked in satisfaction as she cried out, signalling that once again, he did his job. He leaned back from his position on the rough carpet to survey his work. She was catching her breath as beads of sweat trickled down her tanned peaks and thighs. Her eyes were shut as though commiting the moment to percise memory.

“Damn Shepard. Looks like killing rogue spectres isn’t your only specialty.” Her lips curled into a smile with her eyes closed. “The ladies and gents will go wild if I ever publish this.”

He didn’t respond to her as she continued to catch her breath, taking advantage of her closed eyes to make his move.

Tali would be more that pissed if she ever found out what he planned to do, but it had to be done. He’s wanted to do this ever since he saw the reporter and it was the only reason he let her on board. She deserved this.

Leaning over her and supporting himself with his left elbow, he lowered his lips to her ear as he prepared his surprise. They both let out a breath as he pushed it into her, her eyes widening.

“Wh-what-“

“Allers, I’ve wanted to do this since I first met you.”

“Shep-“

The sound was muffled as he pulled the trigger.
