Faith? No
Hope? Sure.
Do you have faith in Bioware to deliver?

Then turned to DAO 2 - the magic is gone! It's not there! Just a feeling of emptiness. So based on that:
No faith
No hope
I wished it was not so but sadly that is what it is.....

It just seems like they have these ideas in their heads, and they don't want to let go. Mind you, I'm not averse to biting, or pulling hair, but they're just gung ho on being with the "cool" crowd. They don't wanna have anything to do with their nerd friends anymore.
You know, the ones that knew them when they still wet the bed. And made a solemn oath never to tell? And never did tell? Those nerd friends?
I digress. It's just I feel like I'm in some weird tug of war with my preferred game dev. Like they're trying to wrest the game from my filthy gamer hands.
And I'm not even what some would call a huge "RPG" enthusiast. However, there are certain elements BW games incorporated that I liked. And I would like to see improved. Not stripped away until it's a shell of what I loved in BW games..
I...I...don't understand what they're doing.
We'll see. We'll see what path they choose in this story.

I will still be checking out what they produce but certainly i won't be pre-ordering and will watch walkthroughs and opinions before purchasing and only during sales i will do so.

If you're sure the next game will suck, why hang around the forums? If you really had no faith in Bioware, you wouldn't be bothering to post.
because we want to know for sure, because we want to be wrong.

I'd love to be proven wrong, but alas I don't think much will change with DA3

Do I have faith in them to delivery a messy multiplayer game with watered down lore, a mediocre store, and quasi FPS combat? Sure do! (AKA: Call of Ferelden, Dragon Age: Modern Warfare! With more shiny graphics and less plot so you think less and explode things more!)

The best way to avoid a disappointment similar to DA2 and ME3.

So I believe that they can make Dragon Age 3 good. Maybe not as good as Origins, but I'd settle for 'not quite as good as origins but still a very good game'.
I'm never buying another Mass effect game though, and my faith in the quality of one is at rock bottom.

After hearing that Dragon Age III will be more if Dragon Age II - bad paraphrasing and auto-lines, partly fixed protagonist, no control over your character's beliefs, fixed companion armor - I don't.
This mirrors my opinion. It's no longer a role-playing game when you don't know what your character is going to say when you pick your dialogue options and he/she talks without player input.

I have slightly more faith in the dragon age team, because as far as I'm aware they haven't shipped off their lead writers to work on SWToR rather than DA3, and while Dragon Age 2 was a "meh" game in my opinion I see that as more a problem of a limited development time and good ideas executed poorly.
So I believe that they can make Dragon Age 3 good. Maybe not as good as Origins, but I'd settle for 'not quite as good as origins but still a very good game'.

That's not reasuring for me. If you would have said lead designer instead of lead writer i would have been more optimistic.

From what we saw in the teasers companion armour does change, it just follows a style that fits the character rather than appearing the same on whoever you pace it on, which sounds like a perfectly viable system.
And where is it confirmed, or even suggested that you cannot control your charcters beliefs? You can do this in every Bioware game to date including Dragon Age 2.
Every Bioware character has been at least partially fixed anyway- including the warden. And we have no idea what the protagonist in DA3 will be anyway.
It sounds like your just pulling random, incorrect information from nowhere, because other than the fact that a we will have a voiced protagonist and paraphrased lines none of what you listed has been said by Bioware.

There's a lot riding on DA3 for many people. For them and for myself, it will determine whether or not I continue to support BioWare's products.iPoohCupCakes wrote...
It all depends on Dragon Age III in my opinion, if they screw up DA3 then no.
