The only problem I have with Kinect is that it picks up on your game sound. For instance, if you are an adept, and for whatever reason your teammate yells "Warp", kinect will hear it through your TV's audio, and force you to cast Warp, sometimes in very bad situations.
Actually, I had more trouble with this in dialog options than in combat. Because the response wheel to a conversation usually pops up halfway between a character talking, kinect usually hears a keyword (or thinks it does), and automatically chooses a conversation choice for you. I had this issue for the longest time, and thought i was mis-hitting buttons or that the game was glitched. On a hunch i turned off my Kinect audio recognition and the problem stopped entirely.
Is Mass Effect 3 better with Kinect

I've heard that there is a second or so delay for power usage, as compared to the instantaneous effect of quick buttons and power wheel usage. So you'd have to keep that in mind, especially when playing on insanity where every second counts, and can be the difference between life and CRITICAL MISSION FAILURE.

I've used it on insanity and it actually helped
