And if they needed to show infedility why not use one of MShep's NINE female LIs?  He can lose one with little to no trouble. Oh wait because that wouldn't be nice. So why do that to FemShep? Bleh.

Because dudeShep is so awesome that he never gets cheated on. Either that or BW was trying to protect some people's fragile egos. Man, Miranda cheating on dudeShep with Jack.... That would have been epic.

Well, it is coming for a guy who said to Thane fans this

That may sound inappropiate but what do you expect from him after months of negative comments?
He is human after all and one bad tweet won't ruin all his good work on Bioware.

That's hardly been his only bad tweet; anyone remember the one on Easter where he pretended to complain about events in the Bible to mock people who didn't like ME3's ending?

Ending related trolling is nothing new from BioWare, I'm used to it. But trolling Thane fans? What, now everybody who disagrees with BioWare on anything is to be mocked?

Be that as it may none of them die unpreventable deaths, and none of them cheat on Shep (seriously, what the hell?).

Exactly! They are still Li's and I can only imagine if one of those cheated or died...

i imagine chobot would hitch up her dress for any squaddie who walked into her room, she was pretty damn easy

Honestly, after listening to Jacob talk about his relationship with Dr. Cole I got the impression he wasn't cheating ON femShep, but was cheating WITH femShep.

Not that it makes much of a difference, but there should have at least been a Basic Instinct kind-of interrupt or something.

This would probably lead to Miranda fans going back to ME2 and killing Jack to prevent it.

And Jack deserves better than that anyway.

Assuming malefic intent, and taking cheap shots at people who don't deserve it? I regret posting in this thread, and not only because it became the same as so many others.

If Jacob hadn't been romanceable in ME2, there would never have been a problem. I've never romanced him myself (though people tell me I'm not missing much), but the times I've interacted with him in Mass Effect 3 seeing him finding his place with Brynn and the ex-Cerberus scientists made me really come to care about the guy.

He's still the same disciplined, slightly ordinary man of principle we knew and unfairly dismissed in Mass Effect 2, plus he gets to be a dad his kid can look up to. It's just a shame knowing elswhere on the disk there's a version of Jacob that's a big cheating bastard. It's just a case of them writing themselves into a corner by making him a love interest in ME2.

Exactly, I don't mind it on my canon Shep who, obviously, didn't romance him because my canon Shep is a dude. But, They very well could have written a completely different version of the area if Jacob was romanced. Like Bryn hitting on Jacob and Jacob pushing her back ete. Should you break off the romance, Jacob goes after Brynn.

I like this suggestion. Jacob hooking up with Brynn wouldn't bother players if it wasn't completely inevitable.

I don't think it's necessarily
because he is black but more due to the fact that Bioware was in a time
pressure so they chose their male fanbase completely but what I don't
understand is why they couldn't just cut one Li from each gender and
make it equal.

No kidding, I would love to see what that backlash would have been like. As The Angry One said, if romanced Tali was having Kal'Reegar's baby...oh lord...

If they'd really wanted to do "cheating" it would have made more sense to do it with the ME1 LIs while they thought Shepard was dead.

Though that wouldn't be cheating, obviously. But it would have been an interesting story.

Yeah, those would have caused an epic sh*tstorm.

Anyway, about Jacob... I didn't even have any Shep that romanced him but when I learned about what he did (or what Bioware made him do), I went back to ME2 and killed him in the suicide mission.

Chris has a sarcastic sense of humor, if you're going to follow him on Twitter it's best to keep that in mind otherwise don't follow him.

Except that comment is not funny. All that comment is going to do is ****** off people even more because the writers failed to do a good job with romanced Thane. Friendship Thane was fine, compare it to romance Thane and you start to see lazyness and simply no care into it. The fact that Thanemancers don't even get the romance achievment is another slap in the face.

People with good sense of humor know when and when not to say stuff like that, regadless of it being sarcastic or not.

If you're among friends, co-workers, people who know you, whatever, maybe it's fine to make a jerkish comment/joke.They know you, you know them, there's your tone, there's your expression and it can be allright. Twitter doesn't have that.

Chris Priestly, twitter or not, it's a BW employee and he was talking about Mass Effect, that's work related, and he tossed that publicly so many many strangers could read it. That is not allright IMO.

Except that this is laughing in the face of people who are p!ssed off at you. All you'll achieve is angering them further. As someone who is meant to deal with the public in a respectable manner, Chris should know better. You don't appease an angry customer by taking a sh"t in their handbag and then laughing about it.
