Honestly, who bothers with promotional weapons?

Hurricane is good, but it is really short ranged, and i have really huge problem with ammo.
Valiant is fine weapon, but now it doesn't seems that much different from other sniper rifles.
Crusader is fine, it is hard hitting, and it fire fast, and have short reload. Only problem is that it is really heavy.
Eagle, seems mediocre, i used it few times, and it is not bad, but also not great.
For now i like the Crusader most.

Is it really that hard to control on the xbox?A Wild Snorlax wrote...
I don't bother with them. I don't think any of them are worth using compared to the other weapons I have availiable. Hurricane is good on certain classes but tbh anything it does the harrier does better. It also requires stabilization modules and firing from cover tto be accurate which is annoying.
I don't think I've ever used stabilization module with the Hurricane
Well the recoil is manageble. The bullet spread on the other hand is terrible, that's my main problem with the gun. I can handle the recoil but there's not much you can do about the spread outher than play a geth/turia or fire it from cover, which I detest.

Anyone got any good tips for controlling that beast of a weapon?

That is sort of what kills its viability isn't it? I just feel that it doesn't do as much damage especially compared to something like a Claymore to justify its extremely heavy weight. Granted it has gotten better, at least I'm not getting negative cooldown anymore.

I've got the Hurricane 3 and it cuts threw Brutes like butter. My one and only problem is that its recoil is insane. Plus, I burned through almost all of my Stability mods over the weekend.

1 word:
Turian;)
I also have Hurricane 3. Used Sat/Sun, Bronze/Silver/Gold, on the Turian Sentinel... I took damage and capacity at passive rank 4, so I could get 200% CD and coordinate BEs with the team, but if you go for damage and stability and at rank 4, you probably don't even need the stability mods. I did take damage and stability at rank 6. SMG Amp gear IV, SMG Rail Amp III, AP Ammo 3 (though incendiary is also fun!). Hello Brute, Goodbye Brute! Ravager, what Ravager? Banshee using magnet hands not to be mean, but because she knew it was that or be shredded.
You can even scope and still maintain control. I saw a lot of 50 and 75 SMG Kill medals.

I agree with you mostly, thats why I mostly use it with vorcha/ krogan who dont rely on cooldowns that much.
But out of all the shotguns, I feel the crusader is best at all ranges, I can shoot at long range and as long as it its the target recieves full damage.
Im not saying that its the best shotgun, im not gonna deny that it would be better to have a claymore and a ar/sr and be better off, but I feel despite that its a good gun. IMO

Also the Saber is great as a all around gun and sniper gun because you do not have the from the hip shot penalty either.

Are you using a Turian? They have stability in their skill tree.
