Sten as Dualist Rouge?

Most likely will have to put points in Dexterity and Cunning.
He's already got the strength, so maybe later he can weild two main swords and wrek havoc.
Any comments?

You fail at spelling ?
Are you using a respec mod ? Otherwise, well, Sten can't be a rogue, and he's already quite commited to the two-handed tree when you get him, so switching to dual-wield doesn't sound like a great idea.

Sten: No!
Whilst I admit it is a bit annoying that both of the 'non-animal/golem' party member warriors are both setup as 2Her warriors, if I was to choose to respec either of them, it would probably be Oghren more than Sten, namely because of Sten's personal quest and whole backstory.

Sten may like kittens and art, but I can't really see him as being into cosmetics. Zevran is the more that type.

Sten... as a duelist... "Hey Sten, there is a crazy guy here who thinks you should dual wield rather than wield Asala, what is your opinion on it?"
Sten: "But I am a two-hand warrior so it follows that I cannot be a dual wielder."
Grey Warden: "Asala kinda sucks stat wise so to min-max you I already sold it." *under their breath "Didn't even get much money for it either..."
Sten: "Katara, bas!"

1. Figured I'd get some smart-ass remarks
2. Never heard of Asala until I went to Wiki. I'm more than positive most of you had to Wiki it as well.
3. Completely forgot that he can only be a warrior. Two handed warriors are SLOOOOWWW at swinging in the early part of the game and takes until mid-late to late until they've got strength to swing it with purpose.
It's like watching someone swing a bat with rocks tied to it.
On the other hand, with his starting strength, he could kick some serious butt with two swords. Just have to build up the Dex.

2. You didn't get the joke about the makeup... See point 1.
3. Err.. ok. What do you mean he can only be... He is. You can't change your companion classes as much as you can't change their gender. I find that rather obvious though and kinda strange that you haven't figured that out after two playthroughs...
And I also find it kinda obvious that making him dual wield (without respeccing him with toolset) is a bad decision. He is already specced for 2h. You will waste several points in making him into something he is not. Unless you play on easy, that will backfire.
A tank is a person meant to soak up a lot of damage. DW is for damage. If you try to do both you'll get a mediocre player. And mediocre won't cut it on higher difficulties.

The only other possible explanation is that a precious few pro gamers managed to stumble accross his well hidden personal quest.

See this stuff up here? Waste of space and completely unnessessary.
So I wrote ROUGE. Big deal. You can't see the obvious mistake and just carry on? Maybe not.
And I also find it kinda obvious that making him dual wield (without respeccing him with toolset) is a bad decision. He is already specced for 2h. You will waste several points in making him into something he is not. Unless you play on easy, that will backfire.

Now see that up there? Good stuff. Good info. Worthy of discussion.
The Dual set up for him is not ghost out. I can put Dex points into him since he does start out with some heavy strength and stop putting into the Two weilding weapon slots by adding it to Duelist.
Same could be done with Allistar. He as some points into Magic because he was a Templar.
A gamer could halt it as it is and move everything into magic.
It would be interesesting to see what happens.
Think I'll give it a try.

We'll golly gee. Aren't you precious.
Getting on his good side, besides bribing him with goodies, is not all that easy and I was not able to kiss his buttocks as well as you seemed to have managed to do.
Congradulations. Got a bit of brown on your nose there, pro-gamer or is that pro-blow?
You do the right thing and save villagers from being massacered by ghost warriors and him and Morrigan are on your case about it.
You can play this game a hundred times and there is no way to play it the same way again.

That aside, if you want to make Sten a duelist it will require some hack or exploit, it's not something that's supposed to happen. If you had the option I'd totally opt for making him a mage. Duelist isn't even that great, dual wield is better w/ assassin/ranger anyway or bard if you want a CC turret.
