If the reapers only subjecate space-faring species, why did they indoctrinate the worm necks?
I see it from a game play perspective, not from a canon perspective.

They didnt indoctrinate them, they huskified them. There is a HUGE difference

It depends on the husk. Human husks are just made. Banshees and Collectors are indoctrinated first.

With feigned confusion, they are big creepy things that shoot weird stuff at you, they go bang when you kill them.

It doesn´t matter if it husk or simple organics but Reapers still need to mindwash them, I highly doubt that Husk have their old personality or even part of that - in that case I would blew my head off....

Harvesters just like Rachni are just a tools for Reapers, it doesn´t matter why are they changed, they serve to only one purpose.

Difference is Rachni were space faring, Harvesters are not, ergo they are stamping out another speices that posed no threat, in a sense the harvesters can't evolve into another civilation, going against the "Reaper Battle Plan"

You don't need to place indoctrinated people on Dragon's Teeth though. You can even use dead people.
Though it's possible the devices themselves indoctrinate.

What about that husk that gets synthesized. They forgot to put an epilogue of his suicide in.

If you think the husks have it bad, spare a thought for the Banshees, or the Brutes, or worst of all - the Cannibals.
I just hope there aren't any Praetorians left. *shudder*

Yes they can be, but they don't *need* to be.

I copy that shudder. I saw some siamese twins argue once and now I'm imagining the same thing but theres fifty of them.

I wonder if the necessity is related to the difficulty of physically holding down a species who are natural telekinetics...

Joker: Gunny! You're alive!

Gunny: Yeah!

Joker: Oh, thank the Reapers!

Gunny: I'm glad to see you made it.

Joker: You have no idea how relieved I am.

Gunny: I love your eyes.

Joker: Yeah, well. It's just good genetics, I guess.

Gunny: Yeah.

Joker: So... what have you been up to?

Gunny: You know, just hanging around.

Joker: Yeah.

Gunny: Being a cannibal's gun arm.

Image IPB

Joker: You know, I wasn't gonna say anything, but now that you mention it. How is it?

Gunny: It's great! I love being surgically grafted to a batarian.

Joker: Well, you look great. Better than ever.

Gunny: Oh you're just saying that. It's too bad that Shepard had to die for us to get along with the Reapers.

Joker: Yeah it sucks. Thanks for bringing it up. :(

Gunny: Sorry.

Joker: I mean, I don't even know why we were fighting them. They have so much to teach us!

Gunny: I know!

Joker: Hey gunny... have you... heard from Dad?

Gunny: He's doing fine, Joker.

Joker: That's great news.

Gunny: He's formed an A Capella group.

Image IPB

"When the moooooon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars

This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius
The Age of Aquarius
Aquarius! Aquarius!"

Joker: So, who's your new friend?

Gunny: Oh, this is Gary...

Cannibal: Hello.

Image IPB

Joker: Hey, what more can you ask for? A beautiful girl on your arm.

Gunny: Tee hee hee. Stop it.

Cannibal: You know, I was wrong about humans.I thought you were a blight on Galactic Purity. You sir. I thought you were a blight. But now I feel so much closer to humans. I can't thank the Reapers enough for bringing us together.

Joker: Shepard's the one who brought us together.

Cannibal: That's EXACTLY what I meant.

-snip-

A hundred page thread extolling the virtues of synthesis failed to convince me it wasn't awful and wrong, but the idea of a praetorian acapella band has made me see the light.

I look forward to Space Thanksgiving, when Joker gathers together with new EDI, who has transcended mortality into a realm of existence we can't even imagine by becoming part of a reaper, His dad and his dad's friends, and Gunny the Gun Arm...

They all thank the Reapers while Joker carves the Robot Chicken...

+1

I want Seth Green to do a skit about Mass Effect, or better yet, its ending, on Robot Chicken. Even just using Joker would be too funny.

Don't count on it, that kind of thing even in jest would probably put him on the VA **** list forever.
Developers are awfully touchy about that.

That turkey would have also been synthesized.
