Good idea, I would love to play with some more europeans. I'm Norwegian too, by the way.

I do have a mic that I use and I've played gold exclusively since march so I know what's up, and I can play any class, favorite is probably drell adept though.

Hm, just randomly matched up or with other bsn'ers? I do have a few people I often play with, but we're not always on at the same time and we often have to resort to randoms, which may not be the best idea on platinum. I would also like some more european friends on this game like I said <_<

From Europe - micless (resp. mostly in private party) - decent to pretty good on Gold - been trying to find a Platinum game for an hour now, none found, maybe there's some of you guys who are willing to give it a shot?

I'm mostly just looking to test it out will probably not play too much but one or two matches would be really nice since there is somehow no chance I find a random one :|

We manage to do a few games.

Resume :
Players : Killahead, dunfall14, kaxas92 and myself.
1st Platinium run : Dagger, Cerberus, Tech team (Human engineer, Quarian Male Engineer and i don't remember the 2 others, sorry) => Full extraction.
    - Pretty fun game, ennemies were dying very very fast. Must be careful to not be flanked by Hunters/Marauders/Centurions/Phantoms, or it's an instant death
2nd run : Glacier, Cerberus, biotic team (Asari Justicar, 2 Fury & Turian Sentinel)=> Got raped on wave 8 (i think, can't remember clearly) by 3 Phantoms + 3 Hunters
    - Hard map, spawns are so fast and concentrated that you don't have time to breath. Hunters and Phantoms everywere
Sad i think i've been more a burden than an asset, but well, i (and hope we) had fun.
+ a few personnal games

Personnal comments :
New maps :
Not bad, but you can be flanked pretty easly on each of them
Ammo crates are a pain on Vancouver

New objective :
Can be pretty tough, specially if you get bad luck on ennemies spawns (we got wiped by 3 Cerberus Turrets on London when we were trying to clear the Atlas/Phantoms/Centurions that spawn just in front of us)

New weapons :
Piranah Shotgun : Ultra great spread, very fast rof, clearly designed for cqc. Damage is low however. Wraith & Claymore are better choices i think (despite the low weight of the new one)
Acolyte Pistol : didn't tried yet
Typhoon : Killahead was a beast with it, and despite my 3.5M credits i didn't manage to get one :-(

New characters :
Didn't had time to test them (and even read their skills), the call of game was too strong ;-)

Platinium difficulty :
Spawn rate is pretty fast (almost continuously, same as in objective waves), speed-up the game a lot
Ennemies CAN spawn on your head
There are more Phantoms than Assault Troopers, even on wave 1 :-)
Hunters are a BIG BIG pain : run incredibly fast when cloaked (almost at your storm speed), can oneshot you from full shields (GPS with 3 projectile => Shield gate, Health gate, Dead), rush you directly and don't give a sh** about cloak (use it or not, they will find you, and probably kill you if you didn't see them before they get in range)
Less ammo in ammo crates
More health on ennemies, a little more damage maybe

I think that the damage output and crowd control are the 2 keys to success.
Defense is secondary, as, well, even with 1000+ shield, the only things that kept my characters alive were the Gates...
dunfall14 can maybe add his feelings with his Sentinel to confort/deny that :-)

I would do some matches again with you guy with great pleasure !

Yes, the first Platinum game on Dagger was especially fun!

I was playing an N7 Destroyer soldier with a Harrier and a Piranha. Ammo was an issue with these weapons, but the ammo boxes were quite close on Dagger fortunately.
We did all the objectives smoothly, and that match went quite well.
I think we had two pizza deliveries (wave 3 and 10) and a hack circle.

About that Glacier run...
Enemies spawned really close-really fast. Without communication, we got wiped somewhere around wave 8. But it can be done without talking to each other, I'm sure about that.

All in all, I played the Destroyer and the Fury on Platinum so far. Both were great. I'd like to try out the Shadow if I'll play later today.

By the way, today we did a ~18 minute speedrun on Platinum on Glacier against Reapers with Hobocommand3r and some of his friends. Man, that was a great game! I haven't even had a second to relax!

I'd love to play some matches with y'all again guys!

And Killahead, when you have some time, you should create that group you talked about!

Neumeusis: Nice battle report!

Had some good games with players from this group yesterday too. One hack objective on the lower level of the London map was especially memorable, and a pain in the ass, haha. One of us should probably have tried to distract the enemies and draw them elsewhere, but it was too fun staying in the zone while banshees spawned on top of us all the time. Many missiles were spent.

Neumeusis deploying his shield in front of me on Ghost while I used the improved flamethrower to melt an Atlas (with good help from Dunfall14, who is very competent with the Particle Rifle) was also very cool.

Also a game against Geth on Jade with Neumeusis and HozHun started of a bit messy, but eventually we gained control and mowed down primes with grenades and tech bursts.

Sorry kaxas92, I invited you several times yesterday but our timing was bad, either you were in a game or someone else from the group joined before you did. Usually I send an invite to all players on my friend list who are not in a match, and whoever gets in first gets the spot.

I'll probably create a group soon.

I play with people from Europe all the time and there are never lag issues...We do platinum runs on double U/U a lot.

Good for you. When I hook up with an American host I often get enemies that are rubberbanding all over the place, making headshots difficult. Wasn't like that before the patch and isn't a problem in any other game.

I've sent friend requests to the players in this thread in order to be able to add you to the group I've created. If I've forgotten someone, then please send me a friend request, and I will add you to the group. In the group we can perhaps arrange some unorthodox or "specialized" matches, such as running all Krogan or "team camp" with a defense specced biotic sphere, two supply pylons and a geth healing turret.

Yup, the London Hack was bloody.
Very open aera. Banshees were a problem, but Ravagers were the worst.
They spawn behind, in front, and on our flanks. As you said, we maybe should have moved a little :-)

The start on Jade with Geth was a disaster. Geth from everywere, death, hunters, rockets. Yerk.
But later we managed to control a little the spawns, and everything went smooth.
Was my first match with the Demolisher, pretty strong and fun class if you know ho to manage the Pylon correctly !
(Hints : Do not hesitate to redeploy the pylon if you move ! If the pylon split his grenades and the cooldown is ready, redeploy it, you gain 2 grenades quicker than by waiting for the respawn).

How did you spec your pylon? I've been thinking about respeccing for extra radius and shields, but that to me seems pretty useless, as you seldom stay in the pylon zone. Faster resupply and extra grenades for me for now.

Favourite classes: Piranha Kroguard (best perfrormance), Harrier Batarian Soldier, N7 Fury, Valiant Geth/Salarian infiltrator and Valiant/Eviscerator Human Soldier. Not afraid of trying new classes, though.

I'm not a chatty fellow, but I use mics to call bosses and missiles.

Accuracy - Weapon Damage - Extra Grenade.

Accuracy Vs Radius
4m is enought (it's even more than the Justicar Bubble with augmentation), and receiving grenades faster is always good :-)

Weapon Damage Vs Power Damage
Most of the players that will run to the Pylon are heavly weapons dependant, so the buff seems to have a nice synergy.

Extra Grenade Vs Max Shields
This is the most debatable for me.
Extra shields is always good, but it's extra capacity.
=> Shields go down so fast that 250 units (for most characters) will not change things greatly.
Kroguard/Batarians/Destroyer/Turians/Geth would gain more benefits, but a Kroguard that don't charge is not a Kroguard (and thus will rarely be in the zone) and Batarians have to be close to the ennemies to take full advantage from their powers (and the Demolisher not).
+ the bonus mechanic seems strange : it's not a +x shield when you're in, - x shield when you're out.
It's more like you gain a y second buff that allows you shields to have more capacity. The buff is renewed each time you enters the circle (duration of 5-10 seconds maybe).
I think this has been made to prevent abuses (recharge you shields by quick in-out in the zone) and preventing the buff to cut down your shields when you loose it.
(not sure i'm clear)
DR would have been more useful I think.
