Hey everyone.

so the Desktop pc I have been playing ME3 on completly shat the bed last week.  MB looks to be the issue, system won't even post.

It will be a very long time before I can get it fixed so I got my old laptop from mothballs ( did all my ME2 gameplay on it until I moved to the desktop ) to use.

Just wanted to ping the community, see if anyone else has gone through reinstalling ME3 on a new machine and if there was any issues with Origion and re-registering the game onto a new device.

Yeah, I just upgraded, fried mobo. Nicked my husband's desktop coz my laptop won't play ME3. So, he has the normal version. I logged in on that with my details and it let me play CE on that until I got new machine sorted. Then I just did the following and it went very well:  

Apologies if some not in exact order: 
 
1. Obv Reinstall ME3. I did it from disk but also have DAEMON tool images. Enter serial.
2. Origin is installed as part of this on the Collector's Edition. It comes straight up when you enter disc. I don't have the normal version but I would think it's the same.
3. Once ME3 installed it will ask for your Origin details. Enter those, should just take you to the switchboard. Your ME3 should now be under My Games screen.
4. I think mine just then went off and got the DLC's etc. But just click on the info icon if not.
5. Any redeemable promo codes, you don't need to reenter these, it gets them from your BW account.

That's it as far as I recall. It's a couple of weeks since. I am experiencing some MP issues but that was after the EC and 1.3 patch. It is slightly better now and wasn't because of the re-installation.

Cool.  I also own the CE so I'll be installing off disk and then downloading the DLC.  I was concerned about Origin having issues with a new machine but you experience shows its not a big deal.

Shouldn't be a problem. The game is tied to your Origin account not to your computer, iirc.
