I'm sure meany have alrady see it, but just in case anyone hasint here it is. (I got this off the dragon age wike site)

Starting off with Dragon Age: The Silent Grove, which was digital first and recently released in print.

Gaider
"When BioWare came to me and asked if I'd like
to write a Dragon Age adventure I said hell yes. Then they asked if I'd
use the characters from the games and I said hell yes"

"Taking Alistair, Varric, and Isabela, some of my favorites from both games, and slapping them together was pretty fun!"

Now Dragon Age: Those Who Speak, again featuring Alistair is coming later this summer

Marshall "Again they'll travel to locations you've heard about in the game but have never actually seen"
Gaider "Yeah, they're continuing the search from Silent Grove, and this time it will take them to the Tevinter Imperium!"

The series will not just show Tevinter for the first time, but also introduce some new characters - heroes AND villains.

The second series will feature all three of those core characters, but be a very pivotal story for Isabela in particular.

Gaider
"There will be three series total in this
initial arc. The first focused on Alistair, this one on Isabela and will
tell a bit about how she became a pirate"

Sten from Dragon Age: Origins will also be making an appearance in "Those Who Speak"

Atkins asked the panel
"What do you think is the most satisfying part of bringing these games into comics?"

Gaider
"The part I like is that there are some stories
that fit better in a novel or a comic. I wouldn't be amiss that your
favorite part of the games is the characters. Getting to see them and
their story, pick up some threads that the game left unanswered, their
history or a dangling plotline. It lets you play with things more fully.
it answers those questions but also provides a separate enough
adventure."

Gaider,
"Yeah, we'd love to put all of this into a game, but we can't do those kinds of individual side stories."

Gaider also said he loves that Sylvia approaches Dragon Age a bit as a fan, both in the game and comics

Atkins,
"What's the difference in the writing process?"

Gaider,
"The first is that you don't have a player character, which may sound pretty obvious, but it makes the process very different.

The other thing is the hard limit of the space. For a game we're talking
upwards of a 100 hours, for a novel we're talking hundreds of thousands
of words. So having a hard 22 page limit changes the way the story
goes. You have to have little arcs instead of one 100 hour arc."
"It's been fun to see the different challenges and advantages of working between games, novels, and comics."

Gaider, "I'm not gonna tell me long crazy story how I started working at BioWare right now.
"I started with BioWare 13 years ago for Baldur's Gate 2.
Dragon Age was my next logical step, then we started looking at
the novels and comics and it's beneficial for us having these other
stories and getting the actual staff to work on them, fans appreciate
that, too. That's how that came to be!"

Gaider,
"Sometimes it's hard when you love a character
so much and don't want to kill them, but if you don't follow through
with their story and they need to die for the story you're doing them a
disservice."

I'm calling it we will find out who the main villain/s are for dragon age 3 and Isalbela will die.

Anyone agree?

Insta-buy.

Sounds interesting though. I wonder which character he's referring to, Isabella doesn't strike me as needing to die for any particular reason.

If you kill Sten, Mr. Gaider, I won't be best pleased.

I haven't really been up to par with the comic series and now I think I should rectify that :D
I hope they don't kill off Sten, that would suck...

Are these supposed to be canon, like the DA novels? Might have to pick them up.

I hope they don't kill off Alistair, knowing my luck he'll find his dad and then die some horrible death so Maric can take over again.

Wow, I didn't know they were doing a trilogy. Anyone heard when series 3 will come out? Maybe... not too long before DA3...? Indeed, the perfect set up to spark interest, etc. before the next game. Also, I wonder who the third series will focus on? Varric? Or, even better, Maric?? I hope he's alive; it would just be so interesting. Then, of course he'll have to eat it before the last pane in order to leave Alistair King once more.

They are not canon.  Go find the post by Mr Gaider.

Doubt it. Maric is gone wherever the Warden and Hawke is, I'm very sure.

I have also read that post. However darkhorse, the people who publish the comics, have this to say.

The important bit: "An essential addition to the Dragon Age canon!"

Hopefully it's just a mix up by the guys at darkhorse.

All the new characters and places can be canon without hurting anything. Just like all the lore/info revealed. Most of the events in the comic as well.

Although, it's harder to imagine Isabela and Varric following drunk Alistair and/or Teagan around...

The events are canon, the roles the characters have in it are not.

That should be interesting. I just hope they don't ruin Sten.

He'll appear in drag selling baked goods, a lesson he learned from Ferelden--he can be whatever he wants.

I personally want Sten to die, if someone has to. Isabela's an LI, and hopefully Bioware learned its lesson from the Thane debacle in ME3.

They better not kill Sten. If they do, cookies will be permanently ruined for me.

I think it may be Alistair or Varric. I feel like Isabela would be predictable since this is about her.

Wait, you'd prefer Varric to die over Sten? Why?

I don't want him to die over Sten. I just said that if Sten died, I wouldn't be able to eat cookies.

I actually hope no one will die since killing a companion in a comic not everyone reads will get frustrating, perhaps more so than Thane's death.

Anyway, if Alistair is king and dies, his death may cause problems involving the throne, and Varric is likely Hawke's best friend, possibly no matter what. His death might cause Hawke to get upset and show up somewhere.

Then again, depending on the circumstances of Sten's death, that could cause problems with the Qunari.
But why would you want Sten to die instead of anyone else?

Varric can't die, considering that'd create a gaping plot hole the size of Texas, filled with the anger of.... Texans.

I kid Texans, I kid. I know some people from Texas.

But back to my point, The Silent Grove takes place in... 9:38 Dragon IIRC. No doubt Those Who Speak will take place soon after, seeing as Varric's interrogation happened in 9:40 Dragon. So I can't see Varric dying, only to be brought back for an interrogation.

Though given Bioware's recent string of plot holes and retcons and horrific timeline errors (or just not being clear enough on the timeline, depending on what the instance is), I wouldn't be surprised if they did do that.

For one thing, he's the perfect character to die in a way that creates emotion without actually affecting the plot very much. For another, I honestly don't like him and never have. Tallis is a much better "face" for the qunari; Sten is just kind of evil and robotic.

While I disagree about Sten being evil and robotic and Tallis being a better face, you raise a good point. I actually think that he ought to be involved in the Qunari storyline though, maybe attempting to convince the Qunari not to attack Thedas.

That's a good idea, assuming they find him alive.
