Have a lot of friends who prefer to play with others from OZ because of lag issues.
I have cable 9ms ping and have never had a complaint re lag from friends joining .

New Zealand as well (HamilTRON!) and maybe I'm just lucky, but I rarely ever have lag problems - maybe once or twice every couple of weeks.

Dunedin for me. Lived in Hamilton for 5 years as a kid...
Yeah lag happens for me as certain times and good as at others. Doesn't spoil the game, like say CoD, I just need to  use passive builds from time to time. I'm the Krogan Sentinel with the mis-firing Claymore!

When I have issues, it's the major stuff where people are teleporting all over the screen and magnet hands on Banshees and Phantoms. Thankfully I have an Exchange Cabinet right outside my driveway so my net speeds are quite decent.
