Not necessarily back to Fereldan, but dear Maker my Hawke wanted to get out of Kirkwall.
Right after Deep Roads. We had money, let's go from this place. We could have gone anywhere and set up. Kirkwall was depressing and crazy. Nothing but bad juju in that place.
In DA3 I really want to see as much as possible of Thedas. Orlais to Tevinter. Antiva to Por Volen. I want to see different cultures.
......and I want a big pirate boat.....

Well, apparently it seems like the rest of Thedas is going to be kinda crazy and depressing in DA3. So, yeah.
You know what I would also like to see in DA3? I'd like to see a...forgotten, or maybe just a hidden Dalish City. A city proper. Not just a camp. Maybe someplace not too many know about. Someplace where some of the Dalish fled when the wars were starting. I'd like to get a sense of what it was like before so much tragedy hit them.
Somewhere over those frosty mountains? Area unexplored properly? An island somewhere? That me and my companions could get to with my big pirate boat:O?
I'm a dreamer.....

I think you're missing the point of the thread... I'm not saying I WANTED TO PLAY IN FERELDEN, I'm saying storywise it seemed a better option for Hawke.

I'm not too bothered about playing in Ferelden, but I do want to play as a Ferelden.
As like a common theme throughout DA games - the protagonist is always a Ferelden or what not.

I can bear not being Fereldan, as long as the next game will have nothing to do with Kirkwall. I've seen enough of it and it's citizens for a lifetime.
I hope we are not Orlesian, I would hate to go back to Fereldan and everyone hates my character. Of course on the outside I'd be Orlesian but...on the inside a FERELDAN4LYFE
