For my second playthrough though, I want to try a two handed warrior. I couldn't find any really solid guides for this though, most of the warrior guides assume you want to tank with sword and board (more like sword and boring, amirite?

I just finished my first run through the game with a DW Rogue, and really enjoyed Discobird's rogue guides. I almost always play a DW rogue in games like these, that's just my playstyle. I want to hit it, hit it until it dies.
For my second playthrough though, I want to try a two handed warrior. I couldn't find any really solid guides for this though, most of the warrior guides assume you want to tank with sword and board (more like sword and boring, amirite?
) . I had a hard time using Ogren the first time, he kept dying on me before hitting anything and he never had enough stamina to use talents. I guess I'm looking for something like a user's manual to a greatsword.

2H warrior is generally a strength build. Endgame should be looking at over 42 strength. Also need good constitution and some dexterity, though opinions vary on just how much to put into these.
Some weapons (Nug crusher) and armor (Wade's Superior Dragonbone plate) will give huge stamina bonuses.
I prefer a good maul for its armor penetration over any other type of weapon for a 2Her. Nug Crusher is such a one. If you have all the dlc (and complete the required tasks) there is also something called Dragonbone Cleaver that is an excellent battleaxe.
Not sure about guides. One source is here:

Two-handed Sweep is good to use when surrounded by multiple enemies. Pommel strike is good to stun a target. Mightly Blow and Critical Strike can sometimes devastate an enemy.

A 2h warrior is primarily a DPS character, with off tanking capabilities. Sustained abilities such as Indomitable (immune to knockdown) and massive armour are what make 2h warriors viable tanks.
I'd advise getting about 20 constitution, then putting the rest of your points in strength. You can get enough cunning for master coercion from the Fade boosts for free.
The 2h warrior is primarily a burst DPS, 'talent spammer' build. Your auto attacking DPS isn't particularly great, but when you use talents such as Sunder Armour and Sunder Arms (hits twice quickly and damages armour and weapons respectively), Critical Strike and Might Blow (Both single hits dealing large damage) and 2h sweep your dps output increases dramatically.
Be tactical in how you use your talents, for example there's no point putting sunder arms on cooldown if something is nearly dead, make sure you get the maximum damage out of it.

Pure strength is the way to go. You don't need anything else and constitution and willpower provide too weak bonuses to be worth it compared to the offensive ability gained through having more strength.
Don't believe it if anyone tells you you need constitution or willpower. You don't. People have soloed this game on Nightmare with a pure strength 2h warrior. It's very powerful. You can grab other stats, but a 2h warrior's best defense is steamrolling anything and everything in his path.
Check out the sticky here on this forum, it has quite a good guide.
PS: If you want to max out Coercion you'll need 16 cunning. You get 5 points for free in the Fade, and this means you'll need a starting cunning of 11 (humans have this for free). Anything more is wasted.

Definitely check out the sticked thread in this forum, as termokanden suggests. It's a great place to learn more about the classes, their talents, combat mechanics, etc.
If you'd like further ideas, here's a thread from another Dragon Age forum about the same topic that might be of use.
